We made an update today, opening up all the racial-classes for players. They aren't really interesting for normal builds, but it turned out to be the easiest way to implement having some special races require class levels in their race at first. Picking these classes will give no race benefits like undead-crit immunity, etc, so they are generally not useful except as RP aids, or for special races we grant.

Which is the main part of this announcement. We will now slowly start to accept applications for special race chars. I beg you all to be very patient with us at first, it will be some manual work for us, and some races will be harder to implement than others, so I can't promise that first come/first served. But we will try to make this as fair and unbiased as we can.

I urge you to do some research on what appearances exist in nwn2/scod before applying for something, since while I'd love to have something like a thri-kreen character, there just aren't any models for it, and it would save us some time if you know what you ask for is possible.

To apply for a special race, post in the special race forum (or bump your existing post, if you've waited patiently for this from earlier).

And once again remember, we're trying this out, we might have to stop the system temporarily again if it poses any problems for us... so please be patient :)

After a while of keeping the special races system up, we have come to conclusion that special races will not be added to 'existing characters' as in would one get approved, you will need to make a new character for it.
