@Lucadia - The choice will be yours, you can stick with regular creature weapons or the new system.
Of course, only having two hands you can't have 2 claws and a bite.
What it does allow is you being able to have a combination of creature weapons and/or regular weapons (providing your character's race does not have the No Manual Dexterity feat).
There is of course a trade off. Multiattack will not apply. And you will be required to take TWF feats if you want to use more than 1 creature weapon at a time (you can just use a single weapon though!).
On the up side, if a creature weapon is medium, then having nothing in the off-hand should mean it will work like a two-handed weapon (x1.5 STR bonus) - Cere might need to confirm this - and of course the ability to bypass DR by applying a special material type to it.
This way, if you have two claw attacks, you could make one covered in AS and the other in CI, and thereby able to survive in the Abyss a lot better.
Creatures with only one type of attack though will have to choose which material they want, as on the fly changing of material type will not be possible. However, we are considering a Spell which will allow such - perhaps Druid only - but there are some technical issues with this which we would need to resolve first.
Coming Soon - Equippable Creature Weapons!

But having take twf feats is a ..huge let down considering the creatures would be required to have the dexterity for it also.
Why not an opportunity to gain these feats up certain levels such as 10 and 20 for improved two weapon fighting? It dosent make sense that a creature sudden forgets how to use a bite or second claw attack .

Its not really necessary and I don't think we want to be handing out free feats without good reason, especially ones like the TWF range which give extra attacks per round.Lucadia,Jan 21 2015 wrote: But having take twf feats is a ..huge let down considering the creatures would be required to have the dexterity for it also.

Many creatures for example have 2 claw attacks. Both identical. So only equipping one without TWF feats is the same as if they were regular creature weapons.
Those with claw and bite, choose which to use when making attacks. Generally claws are more powerful than bites, but it depends. And sometimes certain attacks have certain bonuses. So you can start out with an attack that does some sort of poison or something then switch to your more damaging attack to finish them off.
Seems perfectly reasonable to me, and more controllable than the old system where you would randomly use different attacks, so you'd be making less optimized attacks, for example, making weaker bite poison attacks when the target is already poisoned.

Would a possible idea be that races that have Multi-attack, No Manual Dexterity and Creature Weapons at this time, keep their Multi-attack? The Winter Wolf mentioned by someone else has Multi-attack as a racial bonus feat, yes? So then it would make sense for them to keep it? Or am I just confused here?

If you already have the existing creature weapons and multiattack, you will be able to continue using the legacy system if you prefer. However, most of the new systems will NOT work with legacy creature weapons, particularly the Creature Weapon Master and Special Materials features. Future features will also be unlikely to support legacy characters.
New characters will automatically be switched to use the new system, while existing characters will have to visit the NPC "Fang Clawson" in the Great Gymnasium to switch over (new characters will have to visit Fang to get their initial creature weapons, btw, but existing characters will follow a different branch; existing characters will get a warning that there's no backsies).

Won't be possible. You cannot drop the items, so you cannot transfer to another person for enchanting....however... Cere, did you check this, you could enchant them yourself?WhenWizardsWar,Jan 23 2015 wrote: I can see it now.

I'm sorry. Having an enchanter in your party makes you able to enchant yourself?
I'll look into this tonight. I think the settings in baseitems may preclude this from happenning, but I may have to tweak the enchantment scripts to disallow this.
