New PrC coming up in the next update. A PrC that focuses on fighting enemies that use magic. They give up the use of spells in exchange for harsh training against those who use magic as a weapon, protecting themselves and their allies from spells while disrupting casters. If you have a PC that thinks that magic is vile, dishonorable, or otherwise unfit for their use, then this is the class for you!

Full details are on the wiki.

what about adding some spellcraft ranks as requirement, like 4 ranks?

Considering Spellcraft is a cross-class skill for most classes that should be building into this, I'm not sure that is a great idea. What was your reason for it?

Some spellcraft makes sense as this is the sort of person who might have some basic understanding of what a magic user would be doing, and it is very useful for someone wanting to disrupt magic to have an idea as to what magic they are disrupting. Beyond that, yeah skills are too few for most of the classes that would want to pursue this... Maybe instead of a requirement go with a skill bonus to Spellcraft?

Three times per day, you can grant an ally spell resistance equal to your own -10. The ally loses this benefit if they stray too long away from you (Around one minute).
Is that one minute cumulative, or continuous? What is the range of the effect?

They have Spellcraft on their class skills for this reason, so they can put point in it without feeling bad.

Curseguard is permanant, until the target spends around a minute away from the Mage Slayer (Around twenty meters). You'll also get a warning when it's about to go down, if you get back next to the Mage Slayer within 6 seconds of the warning it will stay up.

this. plus, high bab, hit die d12 and all high saves make up for having to forfeit some skill points. i'd say 3 ranks of spellcraft is nothing dramatic anyway.

Max levels to the prc class = 5? Assuming this from the wiki info, as it is not explicit. Skill selection is nice and SR at 30 levels would be something if no max level, heh.

It's a 5 level PRC, yes.

Some races/classes get SR = (Character level + 11), so a max of SR = (5 + your character level + twice Mage Slayer level) does not strike me as unreasonable considering how many races take a hefty Level Adjustment (LA).

The former can grant a max of 41, while the latter grants a max of 45. Both would be lower in the cases of LA deducting from level cap of 30. Seems reasonable to me, but I carry no authority and am just stating my opinion.

(Added listing of level cap and range of Curseguard to wiki entry)

the rakshasa gets SR 45 at full build and i think that's the highest among the races.
i have no problem with current SR provisions for this prc, still a simple 5/10+hit die would be more balanced, imho.

most importantly, though, i would move it at level 3 to avoid one-level dips just to get the SR.
