Sigil: City of Doors

Just some tweaks and small fixes today, although one with a bit of an impact.

Appearance Changer

In order to see if it helps reduce server crashes we have added a 1 second delay to all Previous/Next convo options on the appearance changer. We understand this is going to be a pain for people, especially if going through lots of options, but server stability is paramount, and there are signs that people flicking through appearances quickly contribute to server crashes. Depends on results of this test will determine if we keep this change or make some other tweak.

Kemo bios

No longer notify if you are being inspected.

OOC portal

Small text change and also removed several calls to the legal check script where they were not needed (eg: on exit from convo).

Player house

Updated a player house with fixes provided by player.

When I enter Sigil I got the message saying my character is bugged... But it was fine few days ago, and I haven't noticed anything wrong o.o

Erm, you actually are able to enter sigil? Or you can't?

You will need a DM to run the debug tool on your character to spot what the problem is. See if you can spot one in game. Otherwise i can try this evening to help you out.

Hmm.. might be something i did with the convo options last update. But you should get the option to enter or the warning about being bugged, not both. :blink:

I've gotten both on and off for months (seemingly at random).

I've had that option in the portal conversation with Rhistel for a couple of weeks now... It was the fourth option, at first, then after last update it switched to the second. I was never denied access to sigil, so I kinda ignored it o.o..

Yeah, i moved the options around, although that by itself shouldn't matter.

Ho hum, back to the toolset i go.

What is funny is it means we have several illegal characters in sigil, or else clean characters are somehow being flagged as illegal.

Wonder if it's race related and those effected are playing a custom race. Or could be high number of items are finding new ways to screw the server.

I recall Ephelil on my account being consistently flagged as "bugged" (but being allowed to proceed through the portal anyway).

Before I had returned from hiatus, she never had any such problem, but maybe that predates the "bugged" warning in the portal conversation.
