I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome our newest DM, Ceremorph, to the SCoD team.
We are very excited about having him join us, ushering in a new phase of SCoD's development. Having recently completed the mind-flayer transformation, Ceremorph will be reading your minds directly, so there is no real need to type while interacting with him. Simply direct your thoughts towards your monitor and Ceremorph will respond.
Welcome, squidface!
Erm...I mean...Ceremorph!

Following Ravel's Heart's instructions will ensure that absolutely nothing happens.
But all that aside, I look forward to the interactions sure to take place as I settle in here. For those of you who don't know me (everyone most likely), I'll take this moment to toss out a few basic factoids.
I live in the United States. What that means is that the times I will be on to DM will most likely be evenings and weekends for those western hemisphere players. I doubt I'll be an "everyday" DM, but within the next week or so you should see me sticking a tentacle in the water.
I've been involved with D&D in some way or another, whether via tabletop gaming or playing computer games like the Gold Box Series and Baldur's Gate 2 (the greatest video game of all time and if you say differently I'll sic Boo on you) since 1984. (Waits for the requisite age jokes here) I have been a DM before on NWN2, although I'll admit my first love has always been working with the toolset, so I will ask for some leniency from players I drag off for quest-type thingies as I reacquaint myself with the DM interface, which will include some custom DM features here that I haven't worked with before.
My inspriations mostly come from reading, whether it be sci fi, epic fantasy, or thrillers. Those of you who keep track of such things will, I'm certain, be able to point to the Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone, The Change, the Hero of Ages, Recluce, the Malazan Book of the Fallen, Thomas Covenant, and the Black Company just to name a few once you've met me.
And now, I'm typed out. But keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the--- no, that's not it. This! Is American Id-- no, not that either. That is not dead which can eternal l-- oh, I give up. Just keep your eyes peeled for tentacles!
