A Question I Have

So I know Staffs like "Staff of Earth" can be recharged with some spells, but I don't know the exact details on what spells will apply and so on.

Also is it possible to recharge a item with spells for example "Gem of Brightness" the same way, or does one need a electrifier to do so?


If anyone could answer these two questions on said mechanics I would be extremely great full.

Those custom staves have a unique mechanic that allows them to be charged by most spells (stuff from your spellbook definetly work, as do most magic items; not sure about supernatural spells gained via feats or racials), gaining charges equal to its innate level. However, exceeding the 50 charge limit by even 1 will cause it to explode. :P

Any other item that doesn't explicitly say it can be recharged via spells requires an Electrifier.

Also if you're warlock and have warlock buddy on, right clicking (targeting) said staves will continue to recharge them each round... wouldn't keep it targeted for long or you'll come up to a Boom :P
