I'd ask what a paeliryon signifies of the player but I realized that you can't make them anymore. :(
For what it's worth in regards to the thread I tend to play women. Mostly because the big, tough barbarian lady archetype is one that appeals to me quite a lot, that's about it. As well as the usual things about how it's much easier to make a distinct looking female in NWN2 than it is a male.
But goddamn males have a couple of sick plate options that females don't get and that makes me sad.
You could say we have binders full of women here.

20, almost 21 here and I only play Female chars for personal reasons.
What'cha gonna do about it?
Seriously, people only complain about this crap because their male chars aren't getting clams to play with their sea cucumbers.
People will play what they want and RP what they want and you really can't control that.

Actually, people complain, because Sigil is quickly heading the way of a social server. Social servers are pretty boring.
Pretty much all I've seen is, "Yes. Women get special treatment. People completely ignore the fact that they should have a bias against said character realistically, because they want to get their dicks wet. But men. We're going to think of every reason, lore or otherwise, to hate them."
I don't actually seem to have the same issues you all do, getting RP as men. I simply find that when someone hates me for serving a demon or the likes, but then turns around to go *** one... It is incredibly bad RP, and incredibly immersion breaking. Also, unlike the majority of people I see, I'm not trying to get my dick wet. I'm trying to enjoy a story.

Its been this way ever since I first heard of Sigil (it was the city of lesbian tieflings!). So, you know, since at least 2010. If we have not become a social server in 7+ years (I can't speak for what it was like before I first heard of it), I don't think we're going to fall with this wave either! :P
Not saying that plots and whatnot aren't important, of course. Go forth and do interesting things!

People keep bringing up the way it has always been. Yeah. Despite the age of my forum account, I've been on Sigil for much, much longer. It was not always like this. I know the difference. And yes, there is a huge change.
