Sharon and my other toons could use some funding for a mansion, I suppose.

I do think the bets in general need to have a limit, to be honest. Maybe a little higher than it currently is, but there definitely needs to be a moment for it to all to 'stop' to prevent things from getting out of hand if that's the main concern. Even New Vegas did that.

...That's just not how roulette works at all. If a dealer tried pulling that in a real casino they'd get laughed at and lose customers.

The point of roulette is mostly strategy...being able to make multiple bets on multiple numbers/rows/columns/streets/colors/splits and so on to further increase your chances at winning a game, it's still luck based. And still has a chance of failing. But again...that's gambling.

If the team is insistent on keeping the single betting, they might as well get rid of it entirely and replace it with blackjack or something.

Roulette is a game of pure chance like any other game. I've read about lots of different "strategies" that people try to use to improve their odds...and subsequently read the math that debunks them. Generally the house ends up profiting off the game because they don't offer fair payout of the odds. It's similar to two people tossing a coin and making a bet on if it will land heads or tails, except that the person who called heads only wins $0.50 if the coin lands on heads, and the person who called tails wins $1.00 if the coin ends up tails.

Of course I don't know how the virtual game is programmed, so there might be a legitimate way to improve your odds by making certain bid combinations. ;)
