So I have a question regarding AoE spells. Yesterday after gaining another sorceress level, Amber Rose went with Kana to the Beastlands to play around with some new spells. We soon discovered that neither he or I were hurt by my AoE spells. So, a few questions...

Has friendly fire always been turned off? Or was this just for an event? Or was it just in the area we were in? If there is no friendly fire in the server, will it continue to be like this in the future?

I ask these question because picking sorcerer spells (for those who have played them) on a server is a very delicate, important decision. They're not easy to swap out, they must address the elements and enemies of the server, and they de-leveling is a pain because sorceresses are so weak to start out and slower to advance than wizards.

Thank you in advance for the feedback. Picking spells for a server with no friendly fire is a different spell bar entirely than the other way around.

Hmm... just checked server monitor, it seems the difficulty was set to "Normal" instead of "DnD Hardcore" which it should be, so that'd be the reason. By standard they will continue to hurt you, so don't get too comfy ;P

Also if you were shooting fireballs while I changed it back to hardcore, well that'll hurt.

Role-players ought to toss fireballs at their party members with little regard! ;)

Royzig tends to throw sonic blasts or fireballs in the midst of things... though it's usually he's irritated with someone in the party, or magic gone awry hehehe :)
