Ive been worried about the recent Explosion of Warlock characters that run around with permanent haste and buffs on..honestly i think thats a tad overpowered.
A bit of Fussing

Warlock "buffs" are basically that +4 DEX one and some other pretty weak stuff, and the "permahaste" disappears after 5 rounds in combat unless you recast it manually. As for overpowered, I don't think you can possibly claim Warlocks are that amazing unless there's no resting at all allowed, not when the other classes include cleric/favored soul, the humble bard that is almost impossible to kill at epic levels or some sorc/EK build combined with some class that gives CHA to saves, or even many of the stronger melee builds with a zillion attacks per round or huge power attack damage.

Not to mention how much spell resistance there is on the server and how Warlocks only have half caster level for breaking through it.
We have a vision among the admins not to nerf anything in particular, but instead try make minor improvements on gameplay of classes that aren't the most optimally powerful in combat (i.e. clerics/fs). Warlock buddy is one example of this, and we have other plans for the future that will make other classes gain some tactical advantage.
Also, the warlock buddy doesn't give the warlocks anything they don't already have, they just don't have to micromanage as much.

Warlocks are easy to play PvE (unlimited invocations, no need for resting or planning just click a button over and over again), but they are generally weaker than every other caster class by long run and when facing foes with spell resistance they lose most of their invocations to that.

Well, could this be a generic topic for generic fussing:
Casters are strong, there is no change to that. However, there is this one no-magic zone where casters are more or less used to wipe the floors. I find it just brilliant!
But the thing is that the exp rewards of those monster are actually less than what you would get outside the no-magic zone. Thus making it somewhat pointless for the casters to venture inside the tower.
And the thing is, my mage-slayer excels in killing the mages, but has troubles with the avarage berks...
Well, warlocks need their 10d6 eldritch blast to beat enemies with mantles or spell resistance.

We (staff) actually discussed of that just yesterday and there's coming some changes to the rewarding/difficulty ratios.Lost and not Found,Oct 11 2009 wrote: But the thing is that the exp rewards of those monster are actually less than what you would get outside the no-magic zone. The critters do have very high comparitive ABs and ACs which make life much more difficult for melee characters, whereas casters don't much care about those since they can keep their distance, and AC is irrelevant - and Warlocks can use Vitriolic Blast to bypass SR, since it ignores it. To help the blaster casters, HP was also reduced it looks like. I'm not against that though, since ordinarily blasters are pretty boned.
However...Warlocks can quickly get overwhelmed by too many spawns, especially in confined spaces.
In most places though, I've noticed that blaster casters have a much easier time than my Favoured Soul does. Which is a very strange reversal.
