Not attributing to malice what is merely someone forgetting something is also advised I think. Personally I have a terrible memory for names in real life, and inside the game it can get just as bad especially if every 2nd char is a redheaded tiefling. ^_^

Yeah names are hard... I try really hard to remember the chars that have different name they say than their first name, or how to abbreviate without insulting, but for some it can be difficult...
Also it gets doubly difficult if you also have alt chars, and need to keep track of who the two chars knows and don't know... but we all try our best :)

By the way, this includes refusing to acknowledge that there are hard coded bugs such as still being visible while invisible if it's cast in the same zone.

Actually, I'm curious if invisibility could be made to just literally make you invisible right away? Not let you be seen if someone saw you cast it. I mean... it's the same effect except without metagaming.
As for metagaming, yeah. It's occasionally very prevalent unfortunately. Usually it's better to keep tabs of the information sources, confront people who seem to know things they shouldn't (in tells) and ask where they heard that, see if there's any validity to their claims. Which, yes, is very annoying... it's much easier to metagame than it is to find out if it is metagaming.

IGMS is complete homebrew yeah. Nobody in table top land has heard of it and there is nothing quite like it. That is why it's the best spell in a mage's list because it obeys completely different logic to the table top ones.
Some spells are just heavily altered for the game since the first NWN. Like forceful hand, somebody mentioned that it works using a bullsrush/grapple mechanic rather than totally immobilizing.
Greater Stoneskin doesn't even exist.
Premonition too, doesn't exist or is dramatically different.
Also which book does Ethereal Visage come from?
Mordenkainen's Disjunction is also different, it just casts dispel (as the spell dispel) on each effect, will save to disenchant items, 1% chance per caster level to nullify an anti-magic field.
Lots of things are different.
