If you want to call it Bob, just call it Bob. You don't need a name change anyway.

If you wanna go name something Bob, I think it'd be more fitting to name the huge serpent in the zone off the main swamp in Minauros Bob. :P

I added a poll, We are about to update the bazaar and its a three second change so why not. You have till the new Bazaar goes in to cast your votes!. Does hide-your-trinkits-it-is-coming get a name? Is it finally time for him to be seen as a person?. Or shall he forever remain a slave to the task appointed to him by the staff? You decide!.

I like "Hide-Your-Trinkets-It-is-Coming". It has charm. "Bob" is too much of an earth-English/American moniker.

What about "Bob's older brother"?

Interesting concept. I always thought he was Bob because it rhymes with Blob. Funny thing being, when he was introduced it just sort of happened: it seems one day people were talking about "Trinkets" or the "Area Cleaner", and the next everyone called him Bob.

That slime blob from the animated 'Monsters vs. Aliens' movie is also called Bob.
Still think a name like would feel out of place in a fantasy setting.

His actual name is Triskediturian, Eater of Worlds.

Which translates into English as "Bob".

hide your trinkets is charming but I'm a believer in display name = name characters know something by in game. If you use an alias, use it as your display name @.@ easier for everyone.

Benefits to changing it: When some one refers to Bob as Bob new players know what they are talking about. People who have dictated Bob's name to be Bob get the warm fuzzies. Gives him a tag that is role-playable instead of hide your trinkets.

Cons: Gimmicky to some older players.

To me i don't see any other issues with the change.
