Or the classic con/Str based fighter :)
3 Swash / 10 Wizard / 10 Eldritch Knight / 7 Duelist, for double INT to damage and a large amount of bonus AC.

Few questions before giving any ideas:
1) do you prefer complex or simple playstyles? I.e. caster with options vs fighter with an axe.
2) what role in a group do you like the most?
3) alignment preferences?

If ask me, then currently sigil needs following kinds of characters:
  • Yuan ti (better, if those, that are more serpentine. Never seen any of those, and it is a shame. They would be interesting to play/interact with)
  • Plants and mycoids (humanoid mushroom, who all the time suffers from others want to eat him would be interesting archetype)
  • Beholders (Only seen one around, but quite rarely and he is afk all the time)
  • Dragons (Only seen one)
And I would also suggest to restrain from playing drow, tieflings, alu-fiends and other human-like daemons. Sigil seems to be overcrouded by them already.

Would wait forward to see, what Thou will come up with. Too bad my computer is currently too broken to actually play right now.

Pro tip: Don't burn yourself out trying to role-play a complicated race like beholder or mindflayer, just stick to something simple and 'normal'. We lack simple archetypes these days...

It might just be my interpretation, but I think the OP was looking for for character concepts rather than builds considering the thread's location and the mention of a nordic character. (+10 for nord in my books :P). My advice would be to come up with the character first, then have the build made to fit them personally.

That being said, if the nordic character wasn't to your liking have you considered other such bases to build upon as far as general stereotypes go? Sailors, bounty-hunters, scholars, crack-pot inventors, street beggars, seasoned thieves and so on.

Fey Druids are easy to bring into sigil right now, since Brux is pretty much more of a warzone than ever before currently.

As for the wererat idea, I may swipe that. Fantastic idea!!

I think Hill Giant is surprisingly difficult to roleplay. I imagine the best way to go about it would be to really emote up the weight and chunkiness of the character, how he looms over and could brush people aside with his hands, that sort of thing. Otherwise you just end up as this big-looking thing that's kinda' just... in the way.
