My impression of both of you has just been inalterably changed...forever.

While I on the other hand would say it came as no surprise. -_-

And I'm sure they'll let you join if you ask politely enough. :P

I think I saw a quote in one of the books saying that 40% of the Sigil population was planetouched? So knowing that, this is the first PW I've ever tried playing a Tiefling on. And my characters are almost always female, unless they're "one-shots".

I usually play female elves or female humans.

Halfling female and Human male

I was frankly surprised tieflings got so popular, with them being limited to max level 29 and all (because of the +1 ecl)

^ I cannot say I would be surprised with that outcome, let us take a look at the Tiefling:

Ability adjustments: +2 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma

Level adjustment: +1.

Favored class: Rogue. A multiclass tiefling's rogue class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.

* Darkvision: Tieflings can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
* Infernal Resistance: Damage resistance to cold 5, electricity 5 and fire 5.
* Skill Affinity (Bluff): +2 racial bonus to bluff
* Skill Affinity (Hide): +2 racial bonus to hide
* Spell-like abilities: Darkness spell 1/day as a sorcerer of equal level..

According to base character progression you do not really gain that much by getting the level 30. And for certain builds the Tiefling bonusses really cover the loss of one level. +2 Intelligence is equal to +1in your Wizard caster level, +2 to Dexterity is equal to +1 to your AB, with Dexterity based weapons.

Racial bonusses to Bluff and Hide are really nice boosts to those little bit dodgy characters.

And most of all, the favoured class is Rogue. I doubt I need to state the benefits few rogue levels can have to any character.

And most of all, Tieflings get horns. NWN2 players love their horns.
