Dangerous to their enemy. You do not want a solar on your ass, even more so than a pit fiend or balor. You wouldn't be able to buy them off or offer a bunch of other people in your place. You're getting punished.

Yes, a Lawful Good character won't stop fighting if they believe their opponent has to be destroyed.

But that's more thing of Lawful than Good.

Inevitables aren't even good and they top this kind of fanaticism.

Yep, LN is the most dangerous of all.

Vhailor: When the injustice is great enough, justice will lend me the strength needed to correct it. None may stand against it. It will shatter every barrier, sunder any shield, tear through any enchantment, and lend its servant the power to pass sentence. Know this: There is nothing on all the Planes that can stay the hand of justice when it is brought against them. It may unmake armies. It may sunder the thrones of gods. Know that for all who betray justice, I am their fate. And fate carries an executioner's axe.

The Nameless One: I see.

Vhailor: No, you do not see. Pray that you never will.

This topic has become very derailed.

So, back on topic. . .

This is my impression as well, and certainly what I play.

I don't think there's anything wrong with neutral / evil characters being the majority in the Planescape setting, though. Living in Sigil becomes much easier if you forget certain moral qualms.

I'm sure you can also cope with contracting canon sources and realisation that D&D will never really live up to grimedgy fantasies. ;]
How's it "contracting" bro?

Rare is the evil who gives a damn what happens to others than themselves, yeah. That's their basic justification for murdering, stealing, raping, pillaging... you know, the whole thing that makes them evil. They aren't evil because they don't care. They're evil because they do evil things.

Sure, but when it's their butt on the line the cowardice comes out. A demon is going to plead for it's existence if you have it cornered in the abyss, damn however many other demons that would screw over, but an archon would stoically accept death for the greater good. Likewise for taking a life.

I think you may've played a little bit too many evil characters. You might actually start to believe the general evil propaganda they spout. Self-sacrifice isn't destructive for much else than the person themselves. That demon if spared (to which there is very little reason to do) would likely continue their path of destruction the second they got a chance and away with it. But how terrible of that archon to get themselves killed! So vicious wretched deed, woe be all the poor evil creatures who just want to murder everyone for personal gain. :P

Uh...I think you're completely misunderstanding me here.
