Sometimes nothing happens for a long time. Then I read a book, eventually I forget I had the game on passively like a messenger program and close it. It's hit and miss when there's something around or a few ppl are just out doing solo farming.

Agreed, I also think when ppl nurture regular healthy conflict they're better to understand etiquette. =)

No offense, but it's also up to people to try to make things happen, it not really a game that is going to feed you any "content" if you remain passive.

There's only so much a player can do by themselves really. You could metagame and hunt down other players but that would be odd and usually ppl out farming resources or hunting monsters aren't much in the roleplay mood. The same goes with player stores, many just want to run in buy some cheap things and move on during anti-peak hours.

Event Masters is a thing still, and just about anyone can join without that much work. :P So if inaccess to DM tools is an obstacle, there is an easy solution to that as well.

I highly support good EMs that are engaging and fun, tho I'll abstain from anything like that. I've had my fill with similar things in the past and not looking for extra responsibilities. I'm sure many ppl are in that kinda camp hehe.

Maybe if someone could script randomly generated events somehow that would be kinda neat. =)
