Vecna being able to do anything to the Lady was one of the dumbest things Wizards ever did with D&D until 4th edition. That campaign should have ended with "Vecna tries to *** with the Lady of Pain, gets flayed in an instant."

Hell, the campaign does the cardinal sin of trying to explain the Lady. Planescape is supposed to be weird, making things mundane like "Oh, she's just an aspect similar to other embodiments of pure magic" makes it well, lose the magic.

Nobody's completely perfect. Vecna was very clever and found a cosmic loophole that let him in, and made killing him something the lady wasn't willing to do because of collateral damage.

Yeah, because Klath didn't have his own out of the way spot, or anything.

Yeah, and when he wasn't out of the way he was in the way. And if you're not out of the way, then you're causing problems and annoying others.

At least b00 has the courtesy to use HIPS and avoid walking through everyone, although one could argue that there really should be more of a panic about a gigantic dragon descending from the heavens or appearing out of nowhere.

There's also this amazing spell called reduce person. Surprisingly, it works on large dragons. Shock! Awe! Applause!

...It had been actually directly forbidden by staff, without consent to PvP.

There are certain supernatural abilities and spells which have "negative" effects, but can be cast on another PC and take effect even if that PC is not currently hostile. In order to avoid confusion, consent for PvP should be obtained before casting any spell upon the character with whom your character is in conflict.

You know, that doesn't prevent the dragons from using it on themselves.

Food for thought. :)

...Or are you PVPing yourself? :O If so, that's self-harm, and I'm pretty sure we have a help line for that.

Also, reduce person A. Does not cause pain or harm in any way. B. Has as many benefits as drawbacks (Specifically making you harder to hit). Reduce and Enlarge are not harmful spells. They're buffs.
Just because you str is reduced doesn't mean it's a harmful effect. Stop arguing stupid semantics.

But Altair, what of their pride and playing to their nature?

Certainly if nymphs had their permanent blindness and stunning aura effects, the argument can be made that in lore this is simply their nature, often inflicted unawares. Now just because that would inconvenience the entire server, well... sacrifices have to be made for good role play =)
