So, when are we going to do this?
Is there going to be an explanation for these people coming together to make this band, or are we going to make it up as we go and basically start from scratch getting to know eachother?

There's currently no leadership. As I said in my opening post, I don't want to lead it. I've got too many under my watch as it is.

Got one of my old Characters that I never really played on that much that fit the bill for the concept. he would fit in the terms of "The Muscle" he's a Legacy Jann Race - Fighter - Defender - Cleric Dip (for Protection against alignment and two feats, don't think I'll be taking Divine Might as it might not be possible in Sym's case, also have lots of other feats in play as it is :P )
I would have created a new character, but I wanted a reason to use Sym more often as all he was doing for the longest time was assisting new players and de-leveling time and time again to assist even more :P

So, out of curiosity perhaps there will be no official leadership? I mean yeah there would be some one most would listen too in the end who would have the most pull, but rather than one with the title "leader" just go with the flow of folks operating on a simmiler idea?

Could also have the folks group up and come to a meeting voting who would be the official leader of the group? which i would prefer after some time the folks get to know each other IC
from there said "leader" could apoint folks to be on his staff

could also. . .
wrote:Also, just to pitch an idea here, you could have two leaders of the group;
A strategic leader(the manager)handling all the contracts and sorting out what guys/resources/ect that's to be used in said job, and also handling the "birdseye" side of the missions.

And a tactical leader(the team leader) running the missions on the ground, making sure everything goes off according to plan.
If I may expand on that as it sounds simmiler to another idea I had. perhaps have something set up like a war council? where . . .
Quote from a wiki becasue I'm lazy :P

Inevitably one person will have the most pull even if a joint leadership deal goes on. . . I would think

While I like the idea of two-leaders, it can become a pain and added drama overtime (this is coming from exirence) as lets say two-leaders exist and vote on stuff, who's gonna break the tie? so you add a third, wel third leader bails leaving two of them once again x.x anyhow i'm not 100% oposed to the idea, I jsut want a fall back plan if something like that does happen :P and if there's one leader have the leader make one perosn his future successor ahead of time in case somthing hapens to him/her

Sounds Hard-Core :P I like the "Perma-Death" idea behind that, it gives a incentive to be even more careful

those are fun :) a pain to lvl up early on if it was like mine.. but its worth it in the end :D

Huh I have a char concept I could mold to this. It certainly sounds interesting. Can't guarantee how mechanically powerful the char I have in mind would be, but still would be interesting.

What I have in mind could be a little bit acrobat a little bit dopple.

Amendment: instead of abjuration, it's going to be divination. :D

Don't matter, it's all good. When the group travels, most of us will be in groups, unless some folks can work some kind of soloing mechanic into their build.

scratch that build from the quote... while I wanted a tank with single target DPS, i figured it might not work in my favor exactly nor the teams fully.

So by adding more cleric I hope I can be more effective to take a beating with Sym with more spells to my arsenal, with damage on the side in mind. It also makes Sym more of a team player with his new arsenal of spells too

Problem I had was figuring out what to do with Sym as he would no longer be a Legacy Jann.. but I think I got the build down. . . I hope >.<

Eh I 'd say play what you want to play and let the details work themselves out.

While I've made a character for this group, I've tried to keep the level relatively low, since I thought it would be funnier and more interesting to get levels together with the other members.
What are you people's thoughts on that?
I think it could be more interesting if all the characters were at roughly the same level.
