I was hoping for something on the Laws of Sigil. perhaps some public postings on the basic laws and for folks like the harmonium, Guvners, and mercykillers- something like a book that has much more detail on law and punishment.
Doesn't really help much, but Sigil's law's are written on the Sigil's Municipal Code.

The Harmonium does not really pay much attention towards that as they got their own set of rules written in the book of Harmonium.

While the Fraternity leans towards their "Handbook and Philosophical Manual".

As is, that means the following are expected to be added in the next big update:

The Gatehouse (Bleakers)
The Prison (Mercykillers)
City Court (Guvners)
Hall of the Speakers (Signers)
Quake's Place (Xaosmen)

I may have forgotten some. X)
That's very good news.

Non-gimped shapechanging would be nice. Ie as it works in PnP. Things with functioning speech boxes and arms ending in hands be able to cast spells.. Be able to equip weapons/rings/bracers/belts and whatnot if it is feasable for the form.
Being able to use feats, potions etc when shapechanged, because it is rather interesting to lose the ability to use knockdown when shifted into a Cornugon, and lose the ability to drink despite having a functioning mouth, throat and possibly stomach.

Hell, even NWN1 had a more functioning shapechange/polymorph system than nwn2, and thats saying alot.

i had an idea and this seemed like the best place to put it. disapearing loot chestes. that way those of us who log in after the server has been up awhile don't get jipped because some of the chestes got "broken" and permantly opened so they never respawned. basicaly after the loot has been taken the chest would disapear and when more loot spawns a new chest comes into exsistance.

keep up the great work! the only time the server burped me was before i got into the lecture and everyone came back to the festhall to continue. no complaints on my part.

Just a note here: I voted for new playable races because of the completed intergration of Roleplay augmentations. I do think the server could use a couple of new races to play as in its next big patch job, things that just add more divercity to whats already pretty diverse.

On that note:
Not a major application thing here but if the DM thing passes id be happy to do a few GMT hours. Im 21 and since ive little else to do with my spair time id be happy to monitor player events and run a few DM based ones.
Im not trying to show off here but ill try to take some intiative here to say that if the Sigil DM team ever needs another player on its ranks, ive lead a guild on an MMO once that brought and fetched 120 members so I have quite a strong possition of experience about leadership and responsibility of power.
Still, this is more of an "if you guys need an extra DM" volenteer job than an actual application. Im more than happy to fill the gap if someone else wont.

That said, ill leave the choices and maths to deciding parties and await a PM response in the event something happens.

In the mean time:

More races! Please ^^?

Yup, we'll be getting new playable races in next patch. It has just got rather delayed due to the unexpected server troubles, which is also reason why a few of our DMs have been slightly less active (it's laggy for you, but DM Client is like twice the lag, tripple the crashes :P), so once we get the new server up and running, expect to see some fancy stuff :)

Well, i was a bit bored so i thought i'd add my 2 cents... or whatever. There's a fair number of things i'd like to see but not sure/worried about which one i want most or which ones can/cant/are already being done (partially cus this is a rather large topic). Anyway... wishlist:

Special Familiars: i know that i'd like one for one of my chars (a tiny yugoloth would be cool) but mostly i'd just like to see variety in this on level up/char creation.

Special Races: i believe the appropriate comment on this is :beatdeadhorse: .

Expanded DM team: cant really say much on this except i'd liek the DM/Player ration high enough to perhaps have more personal plots for people. Also i've noticed DM activity rather low in afternoon GMT. At this point i should probably note, i'm available a lot of the time, so if anything is needed in the way of writing or whatever, i have some experience in the area.

Improved Spell/Feat Variety: as i'm sure you can tell, i like to be able to have lots of choices, makes players think more about what they want on their chars and forces more variety in play style.

Improved Class Variety: i know this has come up somewhere in this topic from my brief scan of the last page in the topic, but there's a few in particular i'd like to see. A decent warlock blaster PrC for instance or perhaps (though i'm sure this would involve far too much work) a fix for the warlock that allows them to take normal arcane PrCs as they are allowed in PnP.

Builders' Stuff: I'd also like to see a few things added to the builders' area of the forums, namely a list with hak order etc. Would love the ability to submit personal areas to the server, of course these would be built by the players/volunteers so as not to eat up the team's time.

I suppose that's it for now at least just one last thing to say to the whole staff on their work for us players  .

EDIT: Not sure what the word on this is, but there are quite a few things in kaedrin's custom content i'd like to see. Namely loads of the pnp fixes.

This is something that has been discussed before, and may see the light of day in a future update, although doubtful "tiny yugoloths" won't be a part of it; it's more likely that we'd see familiar and animal companion lists updated to include creatures available from the core rules. This is one of those things that requires a good deal of planning and playtesting, as it requires extensive setup of 2da files.

Once the major update drops (within the next couple of weeks hopefully), the builder's HAKs and game HAKs will be one and the same. Experienced builders (who have already built for us, or who can show us examples of previously built areas to prove that you actually can and will build areas) will be provided with a builder's pack as well, which contains some of the special templates we use.

There is already a section for people who want to take a shot at building for SCoD, listing areas that we are currently interested in adding, although other locations from non-prime planes (we currently have no plans to create prime material areas) would also be given consideration.
