Or, you know, not overreact to every single thing that upsets people?

My previous post is all about suggesting ways to balance a type of dungeon and avoid easy exploitations, it's not related to over-reacting. :)

There's no need to balance them to punish undergeared folk even more, just cause the occassional player sneaks past the mobs, either. If you want a challenge, turn up the difficulty and watch as you get murdered; if you don't, you can even lower it.

If gear wasn't such a pain to get and if the non-magical spectrum of characters didn't depend so much on it, this wouldn't even come up. But since it does, there are bigger problems than a level 3 shadow dragon stealing some loot off the floor :P

Since it's a thing that can heavily unbalance the game (a level 3 character getting pre-epic stuff), I believe it's a probem. Maybe I'm the only thinking it, but I believe it is. :P

Well I don't see a problem in people looting areas higher than them like it was said they take risks anyway.

They can already get it by buying it in rates or in exchange for services from a merchant, or asking a friend to help them out... its really not an issue if people want to expedite grinding, as its literally the least fun part about NWN2.

Am I automatically allowed (IC) to just um, murder, destroy and vaporize such an annoyance?

What about OOC take on this?
At least I didn't call you any names, like Jerk or Thief.

Look in the mirror once in awhile.

It's not a problem. What is on anyone else's character sheet, or in their inventory, is not, and never will be, your problem. It's not a problem for balance because nothing is balanced to account for rebuilds, for getting something beyond your power from a buddy, or for the occasional really nice random drop. You aren't competing with other players.

Dunno about the three camps outlook. Seemed like 'make players killing stuff get loot' was the only significant camp.. just took ah post er two gettin there. An ah could be wrong.. but that's not so much an over reaction.. that's.. uh.. how the rest of the game works. >.>

But ah personllay agree with gear being easier ta get. By merchants er auction systems.. er.. how ever. Ah have only been playing for about two months now.. an the games easier fer casters... an it would be nice fer more mundane folks to have some of those benefits ah little easier with gearing. Course... casters having ah leg up aint anyone's fault that's just how 3.5 is. Ah'm just saying.. gear being easier to get is ah great idea how ever it happens. ^.^

I am not certain why people say the combat is not fun. For what point would you even level if you do not want combat nor to merchant as a crafter.

Besides the point, the abyss is the easiest place to get some levels or loot on the server. That's why it's so popular because it's generally easy and predictable aside from some ridiculous saves here and there.
