Hmph. Does -what- again? They wanted a build with certain conditions, so I gave them a build meeting said conditions. :)

YEAH seeing the increaed modifer increases the die amount of damage.

4d8 vs 3d8
3d6 vs 4d6

kinda nice. plus more likely to crit so more likely to do damage.

figure WM class adds 10% to critting.

neat, I guess It was due to I was building with a different race, going for shadow dancer and other stuff is why I could not. :D

Ah problem with build CON 12 means you rage for 7 rounds.

A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the character’s (newly improved) constitution modifier. A character may prematurely end his rage. At the end of the rage, the character loses the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued (–2 penalty to Strength, –2 penalty to Dexterity, can’t charge or run) for the duration of the current encounter.

When I made Claire Renquist, I was originally planning on a 13 fighter/7 WM/10 FB build. It's been proven a strong damage-dealing build. The more I've been looking into it, though, the more I'm realizing that some of the epic fighter feats are sweet. Overwhelming Critical, Epic Weapon focus? Yeah, those are pretty scary. I can't find anything decisive that would compare the two builds though. Interweb, what do you think?

overwhelming crit does not stack with a weapon already having it. Though weapon master is the crit master. So if you just acquire a weapon with say elemental damage and bonus to hit you then get to stack on overwhelming.

Epic weapon focus is a good feat hitting things = good.

I would click on that link that Mr. O has on his signature and design both build ideas to compare them.

You can get the epic fighter feats anyway if you take few fighter levels during epic levels. (you can instead take those prestige classes pre-epic as example)

For non-caster fighterish build you'll likely want epic weapon specialization also.

If you're going for the best possible build, it might be worthwhile to throw a few levels of Divine Champion in there (assuming that fits with the character's RP), for the save bonuses if for no other reason. Many of the nice epic fighter feats (epic focus, specialization, overwhelming crit) are also selectable if taking DC levels in the epics.

On the other hand, this is coming from a person who sticks divine champion levels into just about every build.....

I've never liked them Weapon Masters. There has simply been too much of that attraction towards a specific object that I'ven't been unable to understand.

Anyhow, critical hits are useless against targets that are immune to them and to those who have high enough AC. In my opinion. You're always better off increasing your base damage first and critical modifiers after that.

Usually five levels of the Power Cleaver PrC is more than enough.

umm weapons IG that help you get around creatures that are immune to crits.

WM was very popular in nwn1 due to dev crit.

It has other bonuses as well as improved critical of say from 3 to 4 or 4 to 5. The requirements of WM are pretty steep of having to use so many feats, and stat spread. Though it can be a cool class.

I once designed a build to be swashbuckler/weapon master due to getting bonuses with crits on a swashbuckler level 19.

It was also because 'Keen' weapons stacked with the Improved Critical feat. ;)

Yes, I am aware of the said weapons. However, you might want to get them enchanted to reach the fullest potential.
