Though there was an NWN1 server called this, the World Serpent Inn is an established part of D&D planar cosmology.
We could have it set up on Sigil, with some portals inside. . . maybe portals to Primes like Toril, Oerth, and Eberron.
Maybe?
How about the World Serpent Inn?

I'd be more interested in going to see the Limbo or the both halves of Bytopia.
Or to Ysgard to hang out with the Heartless buddies. :<

We won't add Prime Material Worlds to SCoD, other than "possibly Prime Material Plane fitting DM event only areas". Why travel the Prime Material Planes in Planescape setting after all ;)

It's like those people who ask Yo-Yo masters to do walk-the-dog.

I'll just shrug and let my character say that it seems to be common :P at least they have some kind of reason to be there. I can see both sides, but I don't think it's such a problem that we should just tell "Roll a new character" ;P

I would have to argue with you on that one. From a local point of view, a good way to spot a clueless to bob is to hear them speak about where 'they are' at the moment.
As for the locals, and it ain't no dark - basher - Sigil is better known as the Cage. Shortened from the birdcage, word for a cell, prison, or anything that compares to one. It kind of shows what the locals think of the place - what it really represents to those who lack the access to the right portals.
So, if a cagestruck berk is feeling the blinds, it ain't nothing new. Bob the cony and find the next one. Steady in-come for the blood cony-catchers.

None of my characters are locals.Theban Soldier,Dec 21 2009 wrote:
I am surprised at the number of PCs whose backstory has to do with being trapped in Sigil, tricked into coming to Sigil, or who are otherwise "lost" in Sigil.
Sigil is not a prison (aside from Mazes), and folks could return to their home planes without going on a grand quest.
Nenir came through a portal he found accidentally when cheating on cards with a balor. He knows he can go back, but finds sigil to interesting to bother.
Shiv - escaped again....now is trying to get stronger perhaps find a way to the abyss and kill demons just so he can hear them scream. He could seek going back, yet would rather drag those he cares about to him.
"were ya tis....taint as important as what ya tis....'sides ya can go anywhere tis more important ta attain power...heh". -Shiv

"The Cage" has many layers of meaning, to be sure. For instance, the Lady is trapped there, no?

kinda have to agree Planescape is were everything makes sense because nothing is logical. So why add logical realms?
Besides I want to see more Bizarre and interesting areas.
I would like to see the bar in say Limbo or astral plane. That would be cool. I am also digging the portal thing.
Random junk = doorway to fun.
P.S. I would ask for walk the dog because even that trick escapes me. :P
