I was considering having my PC by a belt of encircling scale, but I was curious is Sigil had found a workaround for the darkvision item bug.
The item property, darkvision, does not work in NWN2, but it could be made to work if the item conferred a temporary feat.
I would experiment in game, but spending 6000 for the belt, but being able to only resell for 200 is a costly gambit.
Thanks!
Does Sigil have working darkvision items

Doesn't work on items (here either). I'll work on removing them at some point, just haven't been very high priority so far.

Since items with the permanent ability to grand Darkvision are bugged, one might consider implementing items which are able to 'cast' a similar spell effect a certain number of times per day (I.E. quite a few times since vision modes are disabled on transitioning).

Well closest to working spell effect would be 'light', don't think even low light vision works? But admittably I haven't tried that for ages (since it's not exactly great at anything otherwise either).

Low Light Vision works, it's just not as 'effective' as Darkvision. Essentialy both aren't really worth it, but they do come in handy in areas which are really really pitchest black.
The problem is both vision modes get 'toggled off' at every area transition.
So, the only thing item-wise I could imagine would be a wand/ring/whatever which grants the ability to cast Low Light Vision (as per the spell) on the caster a certain number of times per day.
It's silly, but I see no other way to get vision modes onto items as properties.

You would have to alter the 2da files so that the Darkvision feat (such as granted by race or shadowdancer) would be available as an item property.
