I am looking to get involved with followers of Bane and similar like-minded faiths. Please find me as Dreamer in game or on discord to discuss details.

So let me preface this by saying, do whatever makes you happy with your game and your characters. Here's my two cents though:

Bane kind of sucks, even in the limited Forgotten Realms pantheon of most NWN2 games he's just a really flat and boring deity. Tyranny and corruption, blah blah blah. AFAIK, there are no IC Banite PCs on Sigil, and if there was a Banite organization operating in the cage, it would really be sort of a pathetic one because it would live in the shadow of other Lawful interests and have no basis for a foothold on tyranny, which is sort of the point of Bane.

If you want to tap that Banite vibe, if ruling with an iron fist is really what you're after, I would point you to some of Sigil's lawful factions. Maybe not so much the Harmonium, but the Guvners make the laws, and the Mercy Killers do the punishing, both of those things are very Bane, and I think a Banite who decided to remain in sigil would likely end up in one of those.

Even in the context of Forgotten Realms as a standalone setting I would disdain Bane in favor of Gargauth, one of the lords of the Hells who is really similar, a lot more interesting, and would give you your place in Planescape's Blood War.

What aspect of Bane appeals to you? If you just want to be a sinister bad ass, think of the Doomguard a little. The Doomguard is worse than Bane--Bane thinks the world needs a strong evil force to rule it, so that there can be order. The Doomguard just wants to help the whole multiverse die (or some of them do anyway, there is of course dissent). If you want to feel like Darth Vader and bring a whole world to heel or maybe destroy it or something, accept no substitute for the Doomguard, consider playing with Emperor_Krayt (although I have not seen that player around in awhile, his character Mauric Ashtoret is, I think, the server's highest ranking Doomguard PC, I played with him quite a bit and he is evil AF, the server's own Darth Vader maybe, haha).

I think to pull off Bane, you need a faction. You need a whole group of actual Banites. Otherwise you're just one lone clueless cutter stomping his/her boot in the cage and telling everyone they should be afraid of some power who has no real influence in Sigil. I mean, I think Banites look weak *even in their setting of FR* unless they are running your town and there are a lot of them.

Good luck with your characters <3

Well what do you think I am trying to achieve here? While having a certain someone attempt to discourage others who might have been sitting on the idea.
