This one flew under a lot of peoples radar in 2016. It was a short fantasy story done in very nice watercolours about a group of adventurers making their way through a tough life. The setting is heavily influenced by some of the more hardcore older games and settings in the role-play and fantasy genre.

If this is your kind of thing I hope you enjoy it! There is something very charming about it.

I liked it and watched it when it was out. I really liked it, it's quite mellow and serious while being light hearted.

Another one I liked was Konosuba which is just a slapstick comedy iiseikai anime that makes fun of a lot of tropes. Tea bag goddess scene always cheers me up.

Probably the best depiction of a fantasy rogue is in another one a few years ago now called Rage of Bahamut. The atypical scoundrel heroes are really charming I find. =)

The premise seems to be a bit like .hack//sign, which I watched for a few episodes before falling into a comatose slumber for several weeks due to how mind-numbingly boring it was. I hope this one is more interesting XD

Honestly, I haven't really watched anything anime related for about a decade anyway.
