Hi all!!

I never thought I'd see something like this, i'm really excited. I had resigned myself to replaying PS:T to fulfill my planescape needs, but you guys (and purgatorio as well) have provided.

So enough banter i'll get right to it: I haven't yet purchased SoZ, and until then cannot listen to any of the music you guys have put into the module. Would anyone mind uploading the music files (any format is fine, i'm assuming standard is .bmu) somewhere? NWN2 vault?

Thanks so much in advance!

I'm amazed you can play at all, frankly. SCoD uses and should require both expansions, and if you play without one then some people will be invisible to you and things like that. Uploading the music is probably illegal as well as won't work, since your game version won't even know the files are there.

If you want to play here, I strongly suggest you simply buy SoZ.

oh, I'm definitely not playing, the mod wont even load without SoZ. I plan on purchasing SoZ within the next week so I can play, but i was hoping to listen to some of the music beforehand. If that's not possible, then I'll just have to wait.

Well, going with standard ways, here's few youtube links with some of the musics at least:

SoZ Autorun music (when you get the starting menu in desktop)
SoZ main theme
Shymone & Scarbunkels song
Batiri
Port Llast "happy track"
Plains
Samargol Tavern
Port Llast "mournful track"
Forest
Lantan Gnome Camp
Chult
Jungle
Adventures Guild
Beach Combat
Dungeon
Herald of Zehir
Crypt Combat
Hills Combat
Chrystal Cave
Priory (Umberlees temple)
Shipwreck
Viper Temple
Yuan-ti
World Serpent Combat
Samargol

We don't use only SoZ musics, but currently only standard NWN 2 and its expansion musics, although there are plans of adding some more interesting songs/tunes, yet still fantasyish and fitting naturally.

It's time for dwarf and orc!

DWARF AND ORC

Orc was crouched on the cavern floor
And kept an eye on the oaken door
For many a night he'd watched it close
To see who might appear.
Oh dear! See him leer?
He's clutching a mighty spear!

Orc was guarding a mighty stash
And any who'd come he'd have to slash
For stacked on high in the cavern behind
Were kegs of goblin beer
Oh dear! To his rear
The Goblin King kept all his beer!

Dwarf was thirsty as he crawled
To the oaken door on the cliff face wall
His nose had caught the scent of ale
Oh what a sweet sensation.
Elation! Fixation!
He's found the Goblin's libation.

Chorus:
Dwarf and Orc
A battle not worth telling
Spear or cork
With which should ye be assailing
Just pop a dwarf on the head with a cork
And see if his axe don't sing!
Just take that axe upon yer skull
And see if yer head don't ring!

With his axe he smote the place
But no surprise on the Goblin's face
Whilst guarding he'd just helped himself
And drank all the Goblin King's brew
Oh boo! What to do?
He's got himself into a stew!

The door came crashing in on Orc
Who'd traded his spear for a beer to uncork
His drunken smile was soon replaced
As Dwarven axe did cleave that face
What a case - of disgrace
The dwarf was king of the place

So in the dark he felt around
But nothing intact was to be found
The bottles smashed, the kegs all dry
The Orc had drunk the lot
Found it not! Such a sot!
And deserving of what he had got!

Chorus:
Dwarf and Orc
A battle not worth telling
Spear or cork
With which should ye be assailing
Just pop a dwarf on the head with a cork
And see if his axe don't sing!
Just take that axe upon yer skull
And see if yer head don't ring!

And I doubt it :P
*edit* After more listening... <.< it's neat song hehe.

SoZ soundtrack isn't really that good... I think we've only used like 2 or 3 of those songs anywhere on the server.

I have considered adding music from PS:T though hehe

Thanks so much for taking the time to post the links Mr. O. I have to say, perhaps it would be a good idea to see if you guys can take music from PST or even Purgatorio. It's a small detail that seems to have a big impact on the mood of the setting.

Another amazing soundtrack is the Fallout 1/2 one- which was composed by Mark Morgan as well and has a very planescapy feel.

You are welcome. Also we've attempted to have some ambient sounds/noises in the areas to have the areas have their own moods set.
