Sigil: City of Doors

I just want to extend my thanks for everyones patience ^{(even if you had none! Well okay, not then, screw you impatient guy/gall!)} and offers for assistance, ideas and what not. I do appreciate it, really do. But currently we do have a technical savvy person to manage it and we have already fixed some of the issues that have been causing it, the password is intended to buy time to fix the rest of them. The password and forum screening are indeed a temporary measure, something I hope to be able to drop ASAP, but I also believe it is more valuable that at least some players can play than everyone crashing too frequently for comfort.

So again, I really appreciate all the offers for help, but I think we've got that portion covered, it'll take a tad of time and it's very unsexy server log and scripting effort rather than good ol' fashioned ban hammering their IPs, CDkeys and what not, we have tried that and our ban filters have more than doubled over the course of last 12 hours, it's not highly effective. But let me again reiterate, we are indeed finding the solution, probably not without a few complications, but obviously that's not something we're trying to do. We've got through DDoS attacks and we'll get through this as well.

If you still really want to help, here's something I won't be having much time to do: Keep up good spirits and help other players to get through the inconveniences when it's most needed. :)

I would like to offer a personal thanks to the staff for getting on top of the situation so quickly and for a nearly constant stream of communication about what is going on.
