Sigil: City of Doors

Seems like a lot of us are getting the thrill and joy of experiencing computer problems.

Apparently I am no exception.

Every time I've fired up NWN2 today, the computer crashes at some point. Without warning everything just suddenly restarts, like as if I hit the power button. I tried a few other games and the problem happens there too.

I suspect my power supply. >.>

So, unless this problem sorts itself, or one of my brilliant IT guys helps me with a quick fix, it doesn't look like I'll be rejoining the fun with you guys anytime soon.

This ~especially~ sucks because I was in the center of so many plot points, and I was ~just~ beginning training on the fine art of NWN2 world-building under our wise and learned Mr. O.


I apologize to those that have committed themselves to involving me in their RPs and hope that this problem is extremely temporary.

It's kind of a downer, but that's apparently how it has to be.

if it happens in games check fan on video card.

try putting a home fan near the compter to blow air into it as well.

Dust out everything

then see about power supply and or video card.

Yeah, I got a pretty computer savvy group of friends and family. We cleaned it out, and checked all the hardware.

It sounds like its the powersupply.


The good news is that all I need to do is have it replaced. The bad news is that it will have to wait until I can afford it. I get my tuition reimbursement three weeks after my college classes start (which is next week, the 11th).

Not a devastating hit, but we are looking at about a month of downtime.

Wow. So many comps trying to declare their independence these days. I just recently had to replace my power supply too.
Hope it fixes things for you when you manage to get a new one. Sucks that it'll take so long though. D:

It's because you didn't order your computer custom made from The Artificer!! Don't' settle for those wannabe crafters! get everything you need made at a reasonable price. The artificer is the LEADER in making and selling quality equipment - chivs, shells, and yes- computers and portable electronics as well. next time think twice before you order your computer from these... "Dell" and/or "Apple" quacks.
