Well, I don't meant to come across as brash... but ECL has its penalties, and penalties aren't going to be voided for RP reasons. Especially when the issue will correct itself in a couple of months tops.

AFAIK we still have the SoZ crafting system as a base, so maybe having someone in your party with higher CL or HD should allow you to craft the 25 level enchantments?

RP-wise, the server considers your level to be 1/2. So your RP'd powerful Fiend or Jennie is actually a much lesser fiend or other being.

on the topic of ECL and other things they maybe should affect. What about racial abilities? for instance the worgs bleeding bite. Could we take all of those abilities and set them to Character level + ecl?

If your ECL is +6 or more, does that mean you can't do the level 25 enchantments?

Only if you had 25 CL or more which you can do with Practiced Spellcaster and a spellcasting PRC (eg. wizard 14/asoc 10 with Practiced spellcaster could get a caster level of 28). You'll need to be very precise in your build to do it, but its possible (I think!)

Your +6 ecl prevents you from doing lv 25 enchantments. Practice spellcaster dont allow you go above for your hit dice as a character when it comes to enchanting (it does for spellcasting though).

Would it perhaps be a thing to balance this?

Generally, ECL +5 and up races are very powerful ones and it makes no sense why they wouldn't be able to enchant items. Take the various kinds of genies for one.

Considering the purpose of ECL, it makes absolutely no sense why it'd prevent enchanting.

It's very simple.

A) All races will eventually be retro-fitted to LA 3 and below, thus the issue will solve itself.

B) You can't have your cake and eat it.

A) That's good to hear and I really like this system.

B) This is hardly about eating the cake and keeping it.
Let's look away from the mechanical aspect of my question and to the role-playing one.
These races I talk about are almost all notorious for granting magical items and from that perspective, it would only make sense that the would be able to craft them in the first place.

What you see as eating and wanting to keep is twice silly in that I am already penalized for only being able to take 24 levels ever which (anyone who know anything about building) is most often quite limiting in what you can do already.
