It appears after you conclude editing in the examine bar, not while you're writing the description, that'll become to look like this:
boots 500gp$$bracers 1000gp$$nastythings infinite gold$$.
While really it'll look like this:
boots 500gp
bracers 1000gp
nastythings infinite gold
.
*edit* Also if you mean in renaming? You can't, just in the actual description. Names aren't supposed to be incredibly long. You could instead make series of signs sunk into ground ever so gradually though, or otherwise make a sign tree with some thought behind it.
