You may contribute aswell.

1# Get high AC. This is a bit easier feat to pull for the spellcasting classess, but for melee classes you need to buy or make the proper equipment. Of course it becomes cheaper to save the jink and then buy the +2 stuff when you have chased apples long enough. But getting the +1 gadgets have their own benefits aswell, those are cheaper and you ought to be able to buy 3-5 +1 items for the price of just one +2.

(The prices may change after this post.)

High AC is important because it is the only way to avoid those nasty critical hits. Yes, rolling a natural 20 means an automatic hit, but it does not correlate to a critical hit. After rolling the twenty, you need to roll again to see if your critical hit, well, hits against the target's armour class.

You can beat most crit-builds in the Battle of Builds just by pumping your AC with every possible way.

2# If you ever, ever, smell cinnamon you run. You don't look back, you just run.

3# Don't play cards with the Drow. They cheat. Well, I wouldn't play cards with the Guvners either, they are the masters of the loopholes and they rule the rules.

4# People with no shirts and with big chivs are mean trouble - though not always a barmy sod.

Clever cutters also save jink by purchasing their wares from prominent planeswalkers whom are looking to earn more jink from other planeswalkers than from the lawful street robbers known as the storekeepers.

Of course, the wares you want are not always available this way, but it is worth checking if there are others in the Great Bazaar during your visit.

#2: Mmmm Kadyx.

#3: Loopholes is not equal to cheating. But try playing with a Taker. If they can successfully cheat you then they'll have earned the jink. ...In their eyes. :ph43r:

6# When you start to discover portals and their keys, it is good idea to keep inside your mind that if the portal key is an expensive one - say like a ring of gold - the plane behind the portal can be quite hazardous and it is recommened to bring a strong group of fiends with you.

Nor does a drow equate into a Guvner.

Yup, this is a good though vague "danger indicator". I wouldn't say it's always means the more expensive key leads to the more dangerous place, but it's a good guideline.

7# Research. Find out what foes are common on the plane you're going to and prepare accordingly. Find out which materials and enchantments are needed to break DR.

I adore cinnamon buns.

So what am I supposed to do now?

You might have to prepare for a horrible and certain death that is accompanied by some comical overtones.

It is true that carrying some cinnamon buns with you might prevent some minor trouble in the Slags, (A part of hive ward), but it might also cause something much greater trouble for you...

... I'd say from those barmy sods who would like to see the unseen.

8# When it comes down to weapons, do not be overly picky since the chances are that you will have to make a do with what you got and not what you'd prefer to use.

If your character can wield a weapon, then that means your character has learned how to wield it in combat.

Just use a bit of common sense here; Would you really prefer using that half rotten rust covered scythe instead of that heavily enchanted warmace that will certainly win the day for you? (Selling Warmace +4, btw. :P )

True that Weapon Masters are a subject of their own, after all they are constantly polishing, holding, and passionately staring at their "weapon" of choice.

9# Make use of the surroundings for your own benefit. Those bad bloods can wait in line, you know.

10# Figure out how you can earn jink with your character. Sounds bit ominous, doesn't it? But the characters are different and where one character may be able to cut it, another might not. But, here are few bit obvious tips:

Collect every piece of loot you get from potions to scrolls, rings, amulets, weapons, armor, gems - just collect everything - even those unenchanted ammunition because you can earn little bit of jink even from those.

Now that you've collected a pile of loot, decide what your own character needs doesn't, and what other players might need for their own characters. (Tip: Mainly enchanted equipment or scrolls.)

Then, sell all mundane items to NPC merchants. They do not have much gold to buy things - so when a set of items are hit by the Merchant's limit - start selling those one at a time. This way you can scrape more jink from your goods.

For example; I had collected quite large pile of potions, which I didn't really feel needed for my character. So I simply sold most of them away. And my character got rich. :)

And whenever possible, buy things from your fellow players. Yes, you'll loose some jink when purchasing all those items, but I'd say it should come lot more cheaper than purchasing enchanted gear from NPC Merchants.

Well, kind of repeating what Mr_Otyugh said.
