I really like the fated . . . never got around to playing one(need more ooc knowledge or IC introduction for them)

The most played factions where or are those who are usually those with evident and easy to grasp apparent power that fills these roles : cop/secret agent/lawyer/tax collector. Up to you to drive any conclusion from this, but I think there's enough exceptions and many possibilities with any faction if you research and read a bit.

When you're new being not committal seems like a reasonable thing to do. =)

Rotghar plays the Rotghar faction, all are called Sons of Ratghar. I'm playing no-faction (on my Rakshasa also).

Indep werewolf, reportin' in. I've been trying to drum up interest in the (lack of) faction for ages, but given the fact that it's basically glorified drinking buddies who keep the bazaar running smoothly and have little actual power, it's not goin' so hot. Even so, I would kind of expect more loose-leaf adventurers to pick it up as the non-committal option. *Shrug* I keep trying to think up ways to make it interesting, but we don't really have clear defined goals like most of the other groups, and I feel like that's kind of a hindrance. Usually it's pretty dead.

Sensates are pretty popular but there isn't much going on with the faction at the moment.

I think part the problem with Indeps is that even though they're the most noncommittal of the factions (cough, cough) you still have to commit to them. Someone who is truly noncommittal just won't go that far.

Yeah, I think the in-universe reason they get most of their members is that Sigil's pretty dangerous to be alone in, so it's nice to have someone to watch your back.

I'm actually surprised to see that Mercykillers have no attendance in that poll (when this was posted). Now I won't mention who my current main is, because I like my privacy, but over the course of years I've had major participation ^{(That is, an active and strong attempt to promote the Faction)} in 5 factions: Fated, Harmonium ^{(technically anarchist)}, Mercykillers, Society of Sensation and Xaositects.

While I have had attendance in also Transcendent Order, Bleak Cabal, Doomguard, Indeps, Believers of the Source and Revolutionary League... these are just what I'd dub as membership rather than a strong willed promotion of the Faction and its ideology.

Though one thing I've learned... becoming a strong central figure for a faction has somewhat unexpected side-effects. Because while you may be promoting your own faction, you are just as likely to mobilize the opposition as you are to invigorate likeminded people. That is good however, then you have something to do.
