Are you tired of waiting for your game to start up?
Are you pressed for time to get back in game after an unexpected crash?
Well...Then try tweaking.
Tweaking can increase your boot time significantly by reducing wait times before startup, eliminating those repetitive movie intros, cutting crashes, and much much more!
Instructions:
A: ) First, go into your NWN2 folder located in documents and locate the “nwn2.ini” file. Next, open the file with a text editor and find the section [Display Options]. Change or add the line Disable Intro Movies=1 . Now save the file, and you will no longer have to aggressively click to avoid the intro movie - moreover, it won't even begin to load.
B: ) Download Skywing’s client extension (Ver: 1.0.0.15.zip) here. Next, read the “Quick Start & Overview” and pick option (a). Give it a test run and familiarize yourself with the extension.
C: ) Time to create a hotkey combo for instant booting. :D Now, find the file you just extracted “NWLauncher.exe” and make a short cut of it (if you decided to skip B, then find “nwn2main.exe” and do the same). The shortcut can be placed on the desktop or in the shortcut folder associated with the start menu (recommended). In any event, right click the shortcut making sure that the tab is on “shortcut”. From here, there is a magical box bellow called “Shortcut key:”, :o left click on this empty box and enter a key combination by holding them down one after another. I recommend the following: Shift + Alt + N . Apply the new settings – done (windows only). Now you may start the application simply by holding down the keys.
