Best Carceri Build

I can do it with HiPS and no SR, and with no HiPS or SR at all. The subject of conversation was how innate monk and racial SR would hold up: The answer is, not very well.

Hold up according to 'your' presumptions. Presumptions with the need to double check the math in it. Yet the fact remains that it would still be better than nothing.

Since the topic is called as the "Best Carceri Build", should we not consider every little bit that improves survivability?

Baatezu (Devils)=Nine Hells
Tanar'ri (Demons)=Abyss
Yugoloths (Daemons)=Gehenna / Gray Waste
Gehrelets (Demodands)=Carceri

When some of those Daemons get buffed or polymorph I sear they must hit 65+ ac lol I never thought I'd need Expose Weakness on a cleric lol.

any idea how much SR one would need to avoid the Carceri casters reliably?

I'd say that you'd need either Monk or Racial Spell Resistance progression. If you go with Monk's pick up the spell resistance feats too.

You're not any better off with those than if you were using Cleric/Favoured Soul Spell Resistance, if you're hit by Disjunction. Why? Because Disjunction reduces Spell Resistance by 10, which will render it useless even if it's undispellable Monk/Racial SR.

should be able to drop a quick pot before the bigby. Though that gets costly.

That being said, I jumped the gun on Carceri and didn't really understand it enough. Now I've played it. The Bigby they are using isn't that horrible. You can cast under it, sometimes even attack.
