:D
been awhile
with learning about the warlock buddy I am really pondering 2 things.
1. designing a warlock
2. brining nenir back
so build your best warlock.
my idea is warlock 23/ fighter 1/ sd 2/ hellfire 3 teifling.
I am rather happy to see a few teifling warlocks they seem to make the most sense to me. Though get hurt in charisma.
what design do you like?

Gwyn was a fey pact warlock no multiclass or hellfire warlock at all and did fine for herself. That was because of the fey feats, improved combat expertise, and shield proficiency though. Remember epic pure casters get a bonus to their dcs as well as bonus feats.

Since you are going for Shadow Dancer, I would recommend switching the one Fighter level to Ranger, but in either case, get the able learner feat.
A fighter level would grant you 2 hit points and one bonus feat, and you would be able to take your first Shadowdancer level as your 18th class level.
However, by taking a ranger level as your first level, you would recieve more skill points, get hide and move silently as full progression skills, and slighty improved reflex saves on top of all that. You would be able to take your first Shadowdancer level as your 8th class level.
It's up to you to decide which route is more pleasant.
But in any case, I would aim towards the Warlock level 22, ASAP.

A really evil warlock:
warlock/HF/BG/SD(if you can squize in all the feats)

my current design was a bard/warlock though a free feat from fighter looks nice. Not sure why go ranger 1 level ranger does not gain much.
you can go BG though must skip out on some feats to go more offensive less defensive and probably use more armor less dex. Its do able and fun. You can get divine feats for damage and ac.

Your original idea was that of: "warlock 23/ fighter 1/ sd 2/ hellfire 3 teifling". <- Tiefling.
And what the ranger level would have offered, would have been that of increased playability.

actually that is my SECOND idea my orginal is already IG
bard 1/ warlock /sd2/ hf 3
fighter = free sheild use and extra feat
ranger = faster gain to sd?
warlock want to reach level 20 asap so going for sd at 18 is not a bad thing.

Are you planning of making your warlock wield a tower-shield and sneak around? :D
The extra fighter feat can be considered negliable.
Rangers get their shield profiency, better saves, more skill points and access to skills that blend well with those of Warlock's.
And the fact is, whether you take the SD level at level 8 or 18, you are still going to reach Warlock 22 at the same time. While not ignoring the fact that you are going to face off an experience penalty of 20% + that from your level adjustment due to the character's poor multiclassing.

who uses tower sheilds? I never have, small zantar wood shields yes.
I see your point though getting expertise for basically free along with shield ability seems more useful to me. Though you can lay out the exact level/stats/feats for the idea you have.
