If this is the best face the Revs can put forward, then it is no wonder why there is still even a competition between them and the ( ... shall we say "less than likable" ... ) Harmonium for the hearts and minds of the common man. Sigil, the following is a first-hand account of my encounter with one of the most deranged souls I've encountered in 27 years of life:

As is the course, I was entering my makeshift kip in the Foul Olde-Spirit Inn with a friend two hours beyond last antipeak . No - not for *that* reason. I needed a secure place to exchange darks after a long day of collecting them. As is also the course, I placed a charm upon my chamber door, and parked my pet bat Rathan outside to keep watch.

I hadn't initially thought much of it, but there was another bat outside my room door. While I was inside, I maintained a psychic link with Rathan, and soon realized that the other bat had managed to disarm my glyph. Suspecting something foul, I came out with my friend to see the bat quickly polymoprh into Rith [Gives a brief physical description of Rith in the half-drow with a top hat form].

He was just... so.... **weird.**

First he ranted on about how he is fighting the good fight, then he claimed to have some "top secret knowledge," which he proceeded to 'reveal.' The exclusive intelligence that I got is that the Harmonium were behind the recent death of Old Nehla's Grandson in the Hive. He insisted that he was telling the truth, and that I had to believe him (Apparently this moron thought that disarming the glyph on my room door would somehow help persuade me). The absurdity soared to new heights when he threatened- and I quote- "innocent people will be harmed" if I do not publish my next SIGIS article in this way. Perhaps the scariest thing of all was that this occurred with him keeping a straight face the entire time.

Throughout the whole conversation, he used cliched, tired one-liners. I told him that I refused speak anymore to him and ended the conversation by walking off with my friend, and my bat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those are the facts, Sigil. Now here is my angle:

First of all: since when are the Revs borrowing pages from the Harmonium playbook? Intimidation, deceit, disregard for the privacy of others? Since when did the Revs become the very thing they are fighting? Or were they always this way, and they've just been giving us the laugh this whole time? Perhaps Old Nehla wasn't too far off in her appraisal of the situation of the Revs and Harmonium being different sides of the same coin.

Second: when will berks understand that a SIGIS reporter will not be intimidated, bribed, or pressured in any other way to spin the truth? Keep pushing the limits of absurd behavior, and attempting to influence the writers of the INDEPENDENT media because it wont change a damned thing that's printed. I'd rather die before publishing screed on SIGIS.

******Third:******

REVENGE:

An attention-seeking personality like that of Rith cherishes validation over everything else. I have done exactly that by writing this article. I suspect that he will attempt to reciprocate in his own special way. Here are several possibilities:

A) Murder: Yes, I've looked up the dirt on his permanent record in the Hall, and he's done absurd things before. Which begs the question: why have the Harmonium let him out? At any rate, if I'm found dead in the near future, you'll definitely know why.

B) Framing: A shapeshifter can not only kill one's physical form, but also one's reputation. A possibility is that he might take my form, and attempt to commit a crime or some legal yet heinous act in an attempt to get even.

C) Forgery: Yet another possibility is that he and those in cahoots with him will forge copies of SIGIS and attempt to distribute them to the general public (Because... let's be honest.. most Cagers don't believe a word of screed on those other newsrags, you know which ones I'm talking about). This is probably the most foolish approach to take, because SIGIS readers are accustomed to a certain writing style, syntax, and undertone. Furthermore, they should quickly be able to distinguish real news from any thinly veiled propaganda piece.

Fourth, and finally: There are indeed bloods out there fighting the good fight (you know who you are). Keep doing as you are - but I recommend you clean out your ranks of psychopaths, imbeciles, and recent Gatehouse escapees. Leave those berks for the more...disliked factions. Nothing does more harm to your good name, nor detracts from your cause than these wretches.

That's it for now Sigil. I may die tomorrow, but the truth can never die - at the worst, it will remain hidden for a time.
