A letter sent to SIGIS on cheap paper with messy handwriting:
wrote: To anyone who will hear the plea of an old woman:

Because of the new taxes imposed by the Takers, my son went out into the Bazaar to get some extra jink so that we wouldn't get arrested. I found out later that he was attacked by a Hardhead and a Mercykiller. Some locals tried to help resuscitate him, and though he retained his life, he is severely disabled, unable to walk or even communicate.

He was the breadwinner of the family- now I have no one to help pay the taxes, or even buy food and clean water. Please help.
Some of the ink is splotched in a radial pattern- indicating that some kind of clear liquid had been dropped onto the pages while the ink was still wet.

[An official letter bearing the Harmonium seal is sent and published in response to the woman's plea.]

Citizens,

The man in question was a vagrant and thief, witnessed to have unlawfully seized produce. It speaks to the spirit of dissent now so rampant that SIGIS allowed the publication of this obvious ruse for pity.

Sigil should instead focus on the wrongdoing done to the reputations of the Harmonium and Mercykillers who staunchly serve in the name of order and law. In accordance with that law, the thief will be tried for petty theft, evading arrest, and threatening two officers.

[Jack Spectre remains conspicuously silent about the Harmonium's response.]
