Tarion King of the Indeps!!!
Tarion, magician of the Bazzar, self-proclaimed master of magic, today revealed his plans to run for leadership of the Indeps.
In a powerful and emotional speech given to the Bazaar in general, he declared his candidacy for leadership of the Faction, that traditionally never has had a leader.
This reporter was on hand to hear the declaration, and would like to declare his whole-hearted support for this move.
The Indeps have for too long suffered due to the lack of a voice in political matters within Sigil, it is time they stood up for their rights!
Tarion, from a humble background on the Prime of Toril has fought against many challenges in his life, rising to become premier in his role, and has shown how the fight against adversity can make a man strong!
Indeps all over Sigil, join hands and raise your voices! The Indeps have a leader at last!

Harmonium assault and arrest new leader of Indeps!
Shortly after his declaration, Tarion, the new leader of the Indeps was approached by members of the Harmonium. They proceeded to roughly search his person, and dragged him away without further ado.
What this means for the future of the Indeps is not certain, but it certainly is not an auspicious start to the new leader's reign.
However, it cannot be helped but to wonder. Was this some sort of coordinated attempt at suppressing the Indeps from gaining more political clout? Could it be that an Indep leader would upset the existing power base in favour of the more freedom loving factions? What would happen to the authority of the Harmonium and Guvners if this were to happen?
No ladies and gentlemen, this stinks of suppression. Of intimidation tactics designed to keep the common Sigilian in their place.
Certain groups within Sigil are already formulating their response to this action, and we can only wait and see what flames this action ignites!

The Human, the Erinyes, and the Sorceress - A bizarre love triangle!
It came to light today that Tarion, a well known spellcaster of the Bazaar, has been involved in a secret love triangle with Jezebel the Erinyes, and Minerva the Magician, both well known merchants of the Bazaar.
All parties were quick to disavow their relationships with each other, but that naturally increased belief further.
A passing Signer was questioned over this phenomenon who responded with "Belief powers the multiverse. If enough people believe that those three are getting it on, then.... phroawr!!!! I think i need to go lie down and have a good think about this!"

Harmonium arrest of Tarion!
Just prior to this edition going to print, SIGIS editors received word from their sources within the Harmonium leaking information regarding the arrest of Tarion, the newly appointed leader of the Indeps.
Apparently the Harmonium had received an anonymous tip-off that Tarion is connected with the Doomguard and was planning an attack against established order within the city. It was suggested that Tarion had communications from the Revolutionary League upon his persons.
Following this tip, the Harmonium approached him and asked to search him. Tarion objected and therefore was removed to a place of questioning. He was also searched and a indeed a piece of paper was found, and our source was good enough to provide us with a scribed copy:
Naturally, this paper cannot reveal the source of the leak, only to say that if it wasn't for people like this, who are willing to put their careers, nay their lives on the line, the common man would never get to hear such things.wrote:(Scribe note: scratched out text, uncertain, possibly starting with an "I", indent, text, unevenly written) Tarion,
Good work so far. The Doomguards recognize your loyalty and cunning. Once you become leader of the (scribe note: more erased text, long word, following word written above, uneven writing) Indeps you will be in a position to bring the full power of the faction to bear. An assault against the Triad of Order will be within our grasp.
This leak will be a terrible blow for the respectability of the Doomguards, who recently have maintained a good working relationship with the other factions in the city, performing their duties for the betterment of the population.
Naturally, due to this news, this reporter, and i'm certain a great many others, must withdraw their support for Tarion's leadership of the Indeps.
