[size0]A contest hosted by Transcendent Order
Oi cutters, bashers and casual smashers. This here is a contest with a twist, for the seasoned warriors, mages and the man from the bar that talks with his fist. However none of the contestants are to be of fame, for this contest is to those needing a chance to get into the publicity game.
Not only do we entertain those with big blades, but also those whom look to market and excel in their trades. Merchants, enchanters, crafters and smiths, this is a reckoning to prove if your wares are that of myths.
Why Compete?
- Why! For jink of course, ruffle not your brainboxes any longer unlike Bleakers we aren't mental, however at times we may be a little judgemental... the contest is as much a test of strength and combat prowess to our newly approved prawns of might and little previous fame as it is to prove is your merchandise any good. On top of this all there will be a prize of a total amount of thirty thousand jink for the winner of the contest and for the second prize there is fifteen thousand jink. These are for the sponsors and for the contestants the prizes are five thousand jinx for first place and three thousand jink for the second place! Hold on you say? Why do the sponsors gain greater prize for not even fighting? I am glad you asked random cager thirty two! Why because there is no limit what you can arm your contestants with, but if they pay too much in the arming process, they will find themselves at loss even if they win the contest. [/li]
- Hail brave souls whom dare to place yourselves to the hands of yet unknown benefactor to arm you for combat. This is grand day and a grand tournament for you. Not only to prove your talents, but show how you can handle yourself through the choices of others. You will face great many dangers, your wits and your preparations will be tested. For in this grand arena the foe you duel against will not be your only enemy. The arena itself will stand in your way to the glory. Hazards and extreme terrain can be your friend if you are prepared, or it can turn against you and prove your loss if you fail to acknowledge its effects. For those that wishes to compete and show what they are made of, do sign up on the forms granted in the SIGIS and send them to the Great Gymnasium and you will be measured then provided a list for the sponsors to select from. Contestants - Needs to be a new character, however they will be leveled to 10 (minus level adjustment, so a drow for example would be 8 max) for free. You are not allowed to get additional levels before contest.
You will not get additional starting gold however nor items. Sponsors will be responsible of equipping you as they see fit. It does not need to be permanent character, if it is only a filler, that will also work just fine.))
Sponsors
- We haven't forgotten you sponsors just yet! So what is your role in this? Marketing: First and foremost to show what your wares are made of, carrying your signature trinkets with flamboyant and inscribed looks you wish to convey to your customers. After all! This contest is if nothing else for the show! Training: Not only are you marketing and arming your little contestant, but you may also choose to train and prepare them for hazards to come. How you do this is yours to decide. Arming: Finally and perhaps most importantly it is your task as a sponsor to ensure that the poor basher you choose to sponsor is armed to win the contest both mentally and physically. You will want to make sure what you grant them suits their talents and ideas for maximum performance. Win: It goes without saying, your task is to make sure your contestant wins this contest! The time you will be able to choose contestants is when all contestants have signed up and they will be published for you to choose from. So let us all hope it will be quick! [/li]
- Unlike in contests usually the arena itself will play an important role. Or should it be said arenas. While the contest will be held within the Great Gymnasium, it is undisclosed which of the two arenas you will be facing each other, both will be used. Not only this but the arena holds new features we have invented that makes the terrain itself a hazard. Extreme weathers will be represented from great blizzards, to searing heat, even thunderstorms and great winds or blizzards. Sometimes immobile hazards may find their way around the arena that'll harm contestants coming too close. If the combat lingers too long will be set a sequence of releasing the beasts to the arena which will seek for both contestants until one of them falls for the winner to be found. [/li]
- All items given to contestants by sponsor are to be in the ownership of the contestant. Loaned or temporal ownership items are prohibited of the contest and lead to disqualification. This is an arbitrary rule necessary to ensure that no underhanded power play goes underneath the surface.
- Each combat has five minutes before impending ending is initiated and beasts are allowed to enter the arena to face the contestants.
- Deliberate intent to kill contestant is forbidden. While strong safety measures are taken to prevent this, it bears notifying. ((mostly IC fluff rather than telling "try not to kill the other mechanically))
- Last man or woman able to stand wins.
- Resting, recharging of trinkets, getting further aid or arming from sponsors is forbidden during contest day. All preparations are to be done before contest. Healing will be provided by staff after matches. Use spells and talents sparingly for you will not gain more of them.
- Magic or granted benefits that requires activation may only be used during combat, you will not have permission to use any of them prior to it and all effects are dismissed after each combat phase.
- Summons are allowed during the contest, however only from natural sources. Summons granted through loaned sources are disqualified.
- Extensively powerful magic is disqualified from loaned sources. ((spells level 6th (as in spell level, not caster level) or above can't be granted as scrolls to contestants))
