The Black Blades Are Unsheathed

The chess board was set, and the White king's pawn had already moved. The black queen's knight jumps, initiating the second move. Next, was White queen's pawn. To end the opening, Black king's knight moved. Black was prepared to strike; White was still preparing!
And so do the black blades become unsheathed. As the black pieces go second and are better able to counter, so too are the blades already countering the moves of those who believe they hold power in Sigil. True power is hidden. True power needs not be shown.
The Eclipse Court has unleashed its agents. Let Sigil be aware: the Lords have commanded. The pawns are in line. The bishops move next!...
