Donny and Hide, ye heard of them? The two famous halfling thieves that have hundreds of rumors and stories detailing their multi-planar heists and burglar stories?. Well guess what, cutter...
Turns out they are very real.
A high end-planar law and justice dishing group known only as "The Regulators" report they have been tracking the two halfling thieves for over a thousand years in order to stop their villanous acts of larceny, following them from city to city, nation to nation and even prime to prime!.
Well, thanks to a concentrated ambush involving the regulators and several special interest groups who were also after the pair of thieves, the duo was finally apprehended in a daring high tech and magical sting operation that will certainly go down in annals of history.
Now, whats this got to do to interest Sigil you ask?
In addition to apprehending the two thousand year old thieves with their impressive heist history, the task force also uncovered a treasure trove of wealth large enough to give even the gods of wealth heart attacks! Now most of the goods have been cataloged and returned to their rightful owners, or their descendants but there is one batch of swag the group has been unable to return to its rightful possessors.
Jewelery.
Lots of jewelery, gem stones, rings, necklaces, earrings, peirceings...you name it this horde has it!.
The group of regulators, unable to find homes for the swag has decided to bring the loot to Sigil and hold the auctions of all auctions to dish out the swag to the right and deserving while raising money to continue funding the mysterious group of law bringers.
They state that both normal and magical jewelery of all types are present.
They even claim that a pair of, Solonian truesteel earriens set with tiny tiny canary diamonds once belonged to the famous "The Simbul" of Faerun, and that one ring may or may not have one adorned the finger of the famous Mordekainen.
The Regulators stste that, after talking to the triad that the auction has been accepted, so in the next few days expect to see an increased harmonium presense and the first of many Regulator security teams appearing in Sigil to run security checks and threat assesments.
The auction, due to the size and volume of swag being sold will be broken into several different lots and will be held over a lenghty period of time, the reason for this is to lower the over all price various items can be sold for in order to attract more potential buyers.
But wait...what of the two master thieves?
The regulators report they are in a location known as Void Hold, a triple class a maximum security prison (No they didnt tell us where the prison is located) but they did inform us that the halfling pair will never see another plane.....ever.
