Get back to Nature!

Chant has reached the streets of Sigil that Drakos, the arrogant and self-proclaimed leader of a Druidic circle in Sigil, will soon make the so-called "Grove" a sacred and peaceful place for all nature lovers to come and be "at one with nature".

SIGIS dispatched one of its reporters to the Brux waterfall to find out more. Drakos was kind enough to spare some time for him.

Reporter: Mr Drakos, could you please tell us what your intentions are regarding this "grove"?

Drakos: Well, as you can see, its not so much of a Grove, but the waterfall is a lot nicer place than the ancient grove back down the hill. The Seelie and Unseelie also do not tend to come here often so its safer. Anyway, the idea is twofold. A place for the Circle to meet, and a place in Brux where all comers, regardless of who they are, can come and relax and be at one with nature. Whether this means they come to meditate or simply bath in the waters, as long as they do not cause trouble they will be welcome.

Reporter: I see, and sot the rumour is that you will be having some sort of opening ceremony?

Drakos: Indeed. In the next few days an annoucement will be made declaring a meeting here. Well, actually it will be part Druidic ceremony sanctifying the place, part meeting, and part orgy

Reporter: Excuse me, did you just say orgy?

Drakos: Yes, just checking you were listening. The last part will be a party. I'm afraid that was the idea of Miss Purity Sunshine who feels we cannot have an opening ceremony without a party.

Reporter: I see, so Miss Sunshine is a decision maker in your circle?

Drakos: All members of the Circle are entitled to make propositions for voting upon, although in this case, with her insistence I simply made an executive decision to allow it without putting it to the vote... a party would probably be inevitable anyway with Purity around... or murder, its always hard to know which way things will go when she start trying to get people "involved" in things. Non-members of the circle, lay-members of the Grove if you like, can also bring propositions to the Circle or requests for help, or whatever. We are simply here to ensure that nature has a voice amongst the people of Sigil and a safe place to come to... a sanctuary if you like

Reporter: You keep mentioning it will be safe, but Brux is not entirely so. On the way here I almost got crushed by an Ent!

Drakos: Nature is nature. The weak fall to the strong. But, for the event and afterwards we will have wardens out between the Brux portal and the waterfall to try and ensure as many pilgrims make it safely through as possible. Duty in this will be rotated amongst members.

Reporter: And tell me, how do you respond to critics that say you have no claim over this area? That you are in effect stealing the land?

Drakos: This is Brux. The only ones who can claim this land would be deities, and I am not aware of any deities that hold this particular part of Brux as their demesne. If anything what I am doing is an anti-claim anyway. I am making this place safe for anyone who wishes to come to it safe and free and open. In fact, ensuring that nobody makes a claim on the area. Tell that to these supposed critics!

Reporter: Strong words indeed. Well, what about the approaching Fey army? Are you not worried about that?

Drakos: They Fey will stay away, or they will feel my wrath. I have nothing more to say on this subject. Having said that, any Fey who come in peace are more than welcome.

Reporter: Ok, and one last question Mr Drakos. What about the rumors that you are in reality a Dragon who appears humanoid and are using this whole grove business as a lure to ensure a steady supply of fresh meat?

Drakos: Baseless lies. There are many in Sigil who will vouch for me and my character. Where do you get these ideas from?

Reporter: Years of journalism probably

Drakos: Then this interview is over.

Drakos refused to comment on any further questions including rumours about a three way love triangle between him, Miss Sunshine, and Gluboiy of the Little Bear. Nor would he respond to questions about a rumoured horn of the unicorn that he is understood to possess, a horn that was apparently made a bid for my the esteemed Hildmor d'Kridis and rejected.

Our intrepid reporter was finally forcefully ejected from the waterfall area by Drakos, who showed his true self, that of a Red,or just possibly Pink Dragon, after our reporter asked about the rumour that his newly arrived daughter, a certain Lady Chani, has been seen dealing in proscribed herbs in Sigil.

So dear readers, is Drakos a herald of nature? Is he trying to set up a new faction? Is he planning on eating us all? Well, decide for yourselves! Perhaps you will visit his opening ceremony. A party is apparently planned where food may be served... or maybe you will be the main course! B.Y.O.B!
