Following the news of Factor Kholl's tax breaks for the impoverish, Sigil has been left asking why. The Takers, as they're so aptly named, have never before displayed such charity, rather always relied on cold indifference for the plights of any and all to amass their fortune.
For the first time since before any of us can remember, certainly for the first time since the Fated first set up shop at the Hall of Records, the needy are enjoying a life free of the shadow of debt they could never hope to fulfill. Perhaps more valuable, they now enjoy a reprieve from the ceaseless harassment for which the Tax Collectors are renown.
While we can only muse at the reasons for this generous change in Fated attitude, this reporter wonders if this is the first sign of brighter days on Sigil's horizon.
