Today, through a source in the Harmonium our reporter found out that Mr. Owen B1 of the Fraternity of Order recently murdered his wife's new lover, a known bard by the name of Emberlynn.

Now, Cagers, my opinion on all this:

A person who breaks the law must never serve in a legal body, let alone get as high as that...Judge did. One who's so willing to step over the line his own Faction set him to guard can never be a reliable official. Lets hope The Fraternity will have enough sense to deal with this appropriately. I'll keep you updated.

A response letter is quickly penned to the newspaper

Such a shame that a man with so little regard for law, order or what is right was able to rise so high, in the Fraternity, no less, only to be revealed as a base criminal, especially after showing such moral fiber in such a murky trial as that of dear Mr D'Kridis.

I say Mr D'Kridis's next judge should be taken into custody now or as soon as possible. I do suspect he or she will be revealed as an Anarchist drug-runner with a sideline in genocide.

Best wishes,
Wren the monk.

*Mathias has an addendum printed*

"Though a person of interest, Judge Owen is not our prime suspect in this investigation. We believe that the same anarchist responsible for the recent kidnapping is behind this murder. We also have reason to believe it was not intended to be a murder, but a kidnapping gone wrong. The main suspicion is that d'Kridis had his lawyer hire someone to kidnap Emberlynn in order to blackmail Judge Owen, but the kidnapper failed and was forced instead to kill her.

It should also be noted that the Harmonium does not have anonymous sources, and any printing of an "anonymous Harmonium source" is slander and if SIGIS continues to print such, the Harmonium is prepared to take legal action against them."

Official Harmonium Rerport
[size0]by Cratten Erroc[/size]

We have received and reacted to a complaint of a previous article of one of our Notaries and would wish to place down all the facts of this case.

We got murder done, and couple of suspects, but investigation has hardly began and it would be rushed to jump to conclusions, be it the original poster of this article or any Harmonium replies before this one. Whether or not this is related to the last case Judge Owen had taken part of, or not is yet to be proven.

Also keep in mind that this is first Harmonium has heard of the case, meaning the original message was likely penned down by someone associated with the murder rather than Harmonium source.

Harmonium would wish to offer their resources to aid Fraternity of Order to find clarity to this confusion.

Official Fraternity of Order Response

It is with great disappointment that we find such unfounded accusations published within such a well established publication with a wide readership. Naturally, one of our representatives will be taking this matter up with the chief editor presently.

As for the murder, we cannot comment on it beyond saying that it appears a murder was committed and we are now investgating this.

Bureau Chief Owen has requested a leave of absence, and the Fraternity have provided a safe house outside Sigil where our Bailiffs are guarding him and his wife for their own protection.

The Fraternity will appreciate it if further speculation is held in reserve until the facts of the matter can be established.

"It's just the way the world's workin', ya berks. Power corrupts an' all that."

At Jerrus Fonn's Barber Shop and Weave Emporium in the Hive, the proprietor holds forth from his raised stand behind the barber chair, the wemic's long mane flowing as he gestured the next customer to take a seat. "Somebody throws a bomb and noone gets hurt but a popular bar gets a bit o' damage, there's a manhunt. Blow up the friend o' some rich cutter, yer face is on a thousan' broadsheets. Take out a few stinkin' hardheads like good ol' Phoenix, an' they send troops into the Hive." A pair of razors hum with sonic enchantments, cutting and shaping the hair of the rather scruffy-looking customer.

"But I guess when a Guvner decides it's time ta end summun, it's a nice vacation outta the Cage, where the thugs in red can't track ya down, assumin' they even give a shite when it's one o' their friends doin' the deed. Mark my words, that judge ain't never comin' back ta face justice; nope, he'll be livin' the high life on some Prime an' givin' the laugh to anyone who cares." A final flick of the tool, and what started as a tangled mess of unkempt shag is now taking shape, a handful of black grease in the wemic's hand being rubbed into the hairdo for the final stylings.

"Ya know, that Emberlynn sang at the B&J a few months back, saw her there. Not the greatest voice, but damn what a body. She coulda been somethin' good in time. Pikin' Guvners." His hands lifted from the customer's head, leaving behind a perfectly formed pompadour, shining with the slick grease. "That'll be five jink, pay the lad at the door. Next!"
