Blood in the Lady's Ward.
Dominic Marquez
The Lady's ward has a reputation for being the home of the city's elite, culture taste and refinement, they can all be found here. It will have been with some surprise that the residents of this leafy ward discovered that it was the site of a massacre.
Three hours before peak a squad of five Mercykillers arrived outside the temple of Hermes. Eye witnesses claim they dragged a woman of Ignan decent out onto the steps and beat her publically whilst questioning her. Then a mercykiller officer in plain clothes arrived and seemed to give the order for the squad to enter the temple after an exchange of paperwork.
Witnesses say that they were in the temple for less than an hour breaking down the doors to gain entry. From inside could be heard screams and cries for mercy. Once they were finished they left with the Ignan woman bound and shackled as a prisoner and the steps of the temple were stained with blood.
SIGIS has so far been unable to see inside of the temple but can confirm that whatever was left behind caused one of the Harmonium officers who secured the scene to be sick into his own helm.
Locals were baffled as to why the red death would act so brutally against a peace loving and popular faith. Martin Litely of 13 Mechanus Way in the ward saying: "my uncle was inside the temple at the time, he went to make an offering of thanks for the bountiful harvest from Aborea this year. He wasn't a criminal he had never broken the law in his life. He didn't deserve to die."
Not everyone condemned the act though Tristian Yanek commented: "it is good to see the Mercylillers take up the cause of entropy and I wish them all the best with it in the future."
Despite the feelings of a man that this reporter suspects of being a doomguard local opinion seems to be that this time the red death has gone to far.
