Sigil: City of Doors

Over recent days Sigil's largest faction the Harmonium has been shaken to the very core. Three members of the Harmonium have been found murdered as they went about their patrols. The first identified as Notary Four Ambrose Vecci was found by comrades in the streets near the Gatehouse in the hive ward three days ago. It is believed that Notary Vecci was shot through the head with a crossbow bolt at range in an execution style popular with some of the armed gangs of the hive.

The Second Notary Germaine Carrick was dumped publically in the Bazaar. An eye witness one Shale Raven wing described the scene;

"It was just a normal day everyone was going about their business and then there was a clattering sound and the body dropped from the roof right on top of the signs the Hardheads had put up."

It is reputed that the body was left with a note indicating the involvement of the Revolutionary League, but when questioned on this Measure Four Larris of the Harmonium gave the following statement:

"Pike it you hack before I find something to arrest you for."

The third body was dredged from the lake in the hive ward that of Namer Fiona Burrel. Namer Burrel was shot in a way that was similar to Notary Vecci.

The three victims are believed to have nothing in common but their membership of the Harmonium. So far no link has been established between them.

As response to the picking off Hardheads there is seen almost immediate change, the patrols are changed to patrol only in groups and rooftops, balconies and windows are considered high-suspect. Most prominent archers with reputation of not particularly liking Hardheads also may quickly find themselves being followed by Harmonium, from distance, but none the less clearly considered a suspect.

A group of four Hardheads tends to be stationed in high-traffic area rooftops where patrolling otherwise remains same. Obviously due to the sheer size of Sigil, this truly means only the high-traffic areas. A public statement is given to the SIGIS by Harmonium officials that goes as follows...

Those found with bows, crossbows, slings, firearms or other lethal weaponry on rooftops or balconies will be considered criminal. Leisure activity on rooftops are discouraged until further notice. Repair activity is allowed, but ranged weaponry are not required for such.
