A short article makes its way to the front page of S.I.G.I.S. The article talks briefly about the sudden rash of disappearances around Sigil. It also mentions an outbreak of ritualistic suicides occuring through out the city, one of which the average cager need only visit the alley way outside of the Foul Spirit Inn to witness first hand. The scene was discovered today by a man walking down the alley way. The scene was to say the least gruesome, ten people executed a ritualistic self-sacrifice, painting a bloody symbol on the ground before they ran out of "natural paint", the paint being their blood. The article talks about several brave hero's undertaking an investigation in the matter but does not detail anything they discovered.
The story also touch's on the suicides in the gatehouse the random ramblings heard around the city of the "Great Hunger" and the sudden swelling of the Doomguard ranks.
The article then states that ten hours after the group left to investigate the public mass suicide, twelve members of the Doomguard AKA the Sinkers, were found viciously flayed and left in plain sight for all to see.
