The other day I had the pleasure of sitting down and discussing differing points of view with one of our Harmonium Measures. It was a spirited and oft times philosophical discussion about the means and methods of the Revolutionaries. While not all topics were covered, a great many were touched upon. IÂ’ll not share the name of my esteemed guest but will touch upon something that was discussed.
Of the entire discussion, the thing that struck me most was the outright blindness, or simple ignorance, the Harmonium actually has. During a specific topic it was brought up that this Harmonium Measure felt that they were free to decide their own course of actions as stated, and I quote…” I have no Master”… No? Really?
Well as you could imagineÂ… I was taken aback by this profound statement. I politely asked the Measure to produce the badge that entails their rank. I asked if this badge was made by them or bestowed upon them by another. Of course it was bestowedÂ… so I again stated that they have masters that rule over them and againÂ… this was denied.
SoÂ… it would seem to me that if this statement was, indeed, trueÂ… then what we have here is either a Faction that doesnÂ’t uphold the tenets they proclaimÂ… or the Harmonium simply promotes people who outright lie when confronted.
No masters? No one tells them what to do? No one decides their directions?
WellÂ… It seems to me that if either one of the choices above are correct, either not upholding the tenets they enforce or simply allowing known liars to move up the ranks, then they havenÂ’t really the moral authority to tell us what to do either. Imagine if you were always fed food that the cook refused to eat, or that you were always forced to walk down dark streets your guide refused to travel? Would this not cause you concern? I know I would be concerned. How can something that claims moral right to rule over you not follow the same tenets they demand from you? They demand OrderÂ… but you canÂ’t have Order without masters who control it. They demand LawÂ… but you cannot have law if the Masters who decide it blatantly lie.
Perhaps itÂ’s time for the other Factions to reexamine their close relationships with thisÂ… group of uncertainty. Perhaps the other Factions are not being told the truth. Lies covered up, scandals hidden and buriedÂ… even outright betrayal of trust and agreement.
Of course I only speculate when it comes to the other factions. It is up for them to closely watch their dealings with the HarmoniumÂ… not me.
People of SigilÂ… use care when discussing things with the Harmonium. It is clear that either they cannot be trusted or they simply are tooÂ… unorganized to see to your well being.
Freedom be yours

Such a shallow attempt to poke at Harmonium incompetence. He no doubt knowingly left out the chance that this man is his own master by choice. Choosing to follow, choosing to serve, choosing to leave at will. Badge or not, he does not truly acknowledge a superior.
Stupid hipocrisy though it may be, he considers himself his own master by this standard. Who would keep such a man as his guard and what leader with respect for rank would ever hold on to him? There's so much else one might use against them! The Harmonium I last spoke with consorts with criminals by admission but no one will touch that.
Lawkeepers look after their own, as always. The criminal put away yesterday is no doubt already back on the streets but is this freedom espoused by the anarchists truly an alternative? Letting monsters run free? No matter. Everyone lies. Do people actually buy this kind of argument? Everyone and anyone will push any agenda that serves their own interest. The phoenix just wants the power denied to him by law. Burn the world, rise from the ashes to your throne if you can claim it. I will have no part in your scheme. Your words are hollow.
