The Unwanted

Dear citizen of City of Doors, it has once more become time of peace through actions. There is a man in this city which has plagued us with his lies and slander long enough. This man may seem trustworthy and figure of utmost respect, but do not believe these webs of delusions knitted before you, for they only bring turmoil and destruction.

What I want done is to get Hildmor d'Kridis killed. Each day this man lives leads to death of innocent man or woman. People whom cannot protect themselves. People much like any of you. If this man is allowed to live, they already are as good as dead.

To a moral man this should be reason enough. But as we all know, the Cage is not filled with moral men, so I offer you more. If you kill this man, I will stand down and face the trials, but not before I reward the person doing the greatest favor in Cage history with treasure worthy of kings.

The deaths will start tomorrow and will persist until Hildmor d'Kridis is dead. I will not speak in public further. My actions shall speak louder than words.

((and as last note. Marius the character will perma die if caught due to the event. (lest he's for some reason allowed to live by people whom captures him) But under no circumstances am I going to enforce this to anyone else. Only you have power to decide your characters life/death. But know that I'll only target player characters ;-)

This man is a ravenous criminal, wanted for many deaths in the Smoking Hammer Inn, as well as an attempted murder. Whoever thinks he'll give you anything for killing me, are fools. Anyone acting in accord to his 'adverstisment' won't be charged for just an attempted murder, which one like Marius could atleast try to stand down for. Any culprit will be charged for assisting a criminal too and that he will not be able to do anything with.

Secondly, I am not one to be gentle if any man, or woman, or child attempts to harm me. If anyone will adhere to Marius' words, deaths will indeed start tommorow.

*Svenner posts a picture of Marius Darktale along numerous stands in the market* This man is of average height, blonde and is a warlock carrying a Black Serpentine staff. he may also wear chainmail alongside an iron mask

*Marius reads the most recent S.I.G.I.S. publish, a dark grin spreads to his face. The newspaper quickly tossed aside and dropped to Ditch, to his mind - there was no stopping it now.*

Dorian and his manservant Mikhail walk the streets, enjoying the tension in the air, the smell of fear present in some of the population.

As he wanders past the early morning Bazaar, he pins a note to Hildmor's stall which reads:

Don't die too soon Hildmor. I'm enjoying this.

After Hildmor rejected her off to be his bodyguard Purity decided that her detective skills are sorely lacking for tracking down criminals and decides to offer her services to the orphanage, watching over the children, making sure they are not chosen as targets.

Murree sleeps on the city rooftops as usual, but its a restless sleep. With a maniac on the loose she feels exposed here on the Thieves Highway. Perhaps something should be done about this Marius. She calls upon the spirits available to keep a watch and try and find some sign of this killer or his activities.

Magius sits alone in a room. He keeps chanting "I didn't make you, you do not exist" over and over again. Who knows, maybe with time he will be proven right.

Emeraldin, being the second victim, recovers and heads immediately to a powerful Cleric about having the burned message into her back removed. The Clerics do what they can but it looks like ugly scars. They schedule several sessions with the small Halfling and stated that hopefully they will be able to fully heal her but they simply do not know for sure. Emmy leaves the temple and her left hand begin to burn with fire, her right emits a fog of cold. She vows to have her revenge on Marius and sets about to building her power to make herself as strong as possible.

Dear citizen of Sigil,

I speak once more of the danger us all are endeavored within. And I see err in my ways, but it is a deed that must be done. For those of you whom do not wish to "play the game" so to speak, I offer you peace for one simple condition. In the following days I will be placing many robes around the Cage streets. Wear these robes and masks and you will be target no more.

Fail to wear them, and you might be the one to fall. Today.

I offer not only this, but a sum of one hundred thousand jink for the life of Hildmor d'Kridis. To each participant in the killing.

Celdor ,sitting on the balcony of the cafe again in the ladies ward reading the newspaper suddenly falls of his chair screaming
"100,000 jinks?!?!?"
He then grinned..
"This is getting quiet amusing."

Fellow Cagers,

Marius Darktale will not pay you such a sum, so I won't bother with naming a bigger one for his head. The situation is quite simple, the man wants me dead for his own, personal reasons and he's ready to kill uninvolved others. He's not fighting for your sake, he's trying to make you fight for his.

Wren reads the latest instalment in the ongoing SIGIS conversation, shaking his head slowly and crushing the paper in a shaking fist. He then rapidly pens a message to the newspaper

Friends Hildmor and Marius,

When the whole of Sigil beside you two worthless husks of men lies dead by your hands, your ability to manipulate, to sow chaos or accumulate power will be meaningless. Enough, boys, but if you demand another sacrifice, spill my blood. I will not resist you, and better I than one of true worth, like you gentlemen of means...
