Tragedy Hits: Senden House Destroyed in Fire
Three Dead and One Missing!
Early this morning, townsfolk and Harmonium alike arrived at the scene to see the Senden House, home to the beloved Evelyn Senden, rapidly burning to the ground in a pillar of flames.
Three have been reported dead: Tommy Senden, the family's youngest son; Hogar, the family's half-orc guard, and Hobo – the family's pet dog. Evelyn Senden; however, remains missing.
"This was no accident," claimed Drego, Namer of the Harmonium. "I won't tell ye where we found the boy's body, but the condition it was in was not because of the fire. Someone killed him – and they did it with intent."
There have been numerous responses to the incident: cries of outrage, cries of sadness, even a few cries of happiness – but a few have already began to point fingers.
"Whole family dead – with Evelyn missing? Sounds mighty suspicious if ye ask me," reported Thogar, competitor of Evelyn's House of Singing Harpies. "It is no secret that the lass runs a brothel, but what most won't tell ye is that she deals in some of the shadiest of business practices. I'm thinking her business caught up to her – and that she was the one who set her own house on fire to escape the whole situation."
Most; however, disagree.
"My mother is no woman of virtue, but she would never kill her own family," stated Arthur Senden, the family's eldest son. "Whoever did this had a reason – and I plan to find them. I plan to bring them to justice."
The issue; nevertheless, is no one knows where to start.
"There are no witnesses, no discernible evidence, and simply no leads," reported Drego. "All we've found were three shattered vials, the kind used for Alchemist's Fires – which we believe to be the source of the fire."
With no sense of direction, most are already calling this an unsolvable case. The Harmonium and Arthur Senden; however, remain determined to find the culprits involved – and the missing Evelyn Senden.
